Location on the turtle beach

Hotel is a bit tired and needs updating. Breakfast is average. Found the cleaning to not be very thorough and dust behind furniture. Noisy, air con and dehumidifier were old and loud making it hard to sleep as you need both on. Numerous noisy birds swarm the garden early in the morning and late at night so woken up very early.

The. Buffet spread was grand but still felt something is missing .... Bakery items were slightly dry not sumptuous enough.... Few meats I tried were chewy not juicy enuf .... and a few main course dishes were not replenished for quite some time ....

Great Location and access to the beach. Gym is ok and has the nicest member of staff.

You are constantly being followed by the staff and questioned suspiciously. Rooms are not mopped, and if you are lucky they might use an old broom, there is dust everywhere. Very old rooms with loud air conditioning. Check in takes forever despite having 5 members doing nothing. You would expect higher standards from a 5* resort from a reputable hotel operator.

Super nice place excellent food.

Expensive during Xmas and New Year’s Eve holiday.

The location was incredible and the grounds were expansive. From what we could see, it was in the best spot in Hikkaduwa. The seafront had lots to offer. Beautiful fish and other sea creatures can be seen in the shallow clear water. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

It looked a bit dated and needing some upkeep.
