The room had character and good value

The breakfast was average.

the style of the resort is boutique and nice, nice room with charming touch. River view at brealfast area and patio where you can chill.

No Food and beverage at the resort to serve, just breakfast available. Sometimes guest want to have food and coffee at the resort where they stay, so they can relax and take longer time at the resort to chill, especially when its really hot outside.

A beautiful little resort tucked away from the busy street which is filled with bars and restaurants. Only a 10 minute walk to the war cemetery and the Death Railway Museum. Fabulous little swimming pool overlooking the River Kwai. The staff were very helpful and the resort was clean, comfortable and quiet (I had the pool to myself every day that I was there!)

Well located, about a 12 minute walk from the train station just off the main street but surprisingly peaceful. The Ploy is a very pretty resort with a large breakfast terrace, infinity pool and shady garden area overlooking the river. Our room was well appointed with a firm but comfortable bed, good controllable air con, a kettle with coffee and water supplied and a good, cold fridge. It was fitted with a large window that looked into a private mini garden area which was a little unusual. The spacious bathroom had a very good hot shower in a separate cubicle and had toiletries provided. The included breakfast had 3 options and we always had the pancakes which were very good and the older lady serving breakfast was very friendly.

Our experience is perhaps best described as surreal. For the first couple of days I think we may have been the only guests staying there and we seemed to have the entire resort to ourselves whilst staff busied themselves spring cleaning. Sadly, as a middle aged British couple, there was very little in the way of hospitality shown towards us. On our arrival we were led to our room in silence, given the key and left to our own devices, not knowing about anything or where it was. As days passed and Thai/Asian couples began to arrive they were shown around the resort, having things explained to them as they toured the premises. We made a point of smiling and being polite towards staff but this wasn't often reciprocated, most likely due to the lack of English spoken, but it resulted in us being made to feel unwelcome.
