Oli vähän kaukana, mutta toisaalta mukava kun oli omaa rauhaa ja skootterilla pääsi helposti kulkemaan.

The house is well-appointed and clean. We enjoyed the beds and the pool is great for kids. The beach near by isn't the prettiest in Koh Chang but safe for our little ones.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the shake down we experienced at the end over a moped, this place would have been a 10. Even with some needed TLC (chipped floor and some lights that didnt work), it was a good villa for our family. The moped my husband rented wasnt the most balanced and he caught a bush on his first ride. Afterwards, he was fine and so was the bike. We were checking out and the house was searched to confirm everything was as it should be, so we got a our full deposit back. Or so we thought. As we packed up our van, two Utalay employees returned about the scooter, saying they needed 3000 baht. (The same as original deposit.) My sister, who is Thai, was horrified at the price and pointed out that they wanted way too much money. As she argued with them, I looked over the moped more, and found the OTHER side (the one they weren't complaining about) had as bad as scratches, if not worse. Clearly, they weren't worried about maintaining the bike up before this. Finally, they took a 1000 baht. It's sad that scammy practices like this turned what would have been a glowing review to a negative one.
