Baansuan Amaleena

The owners were very friendly and welcoming, would offer us fresh mangos and bananas from their garden. Everything was very clean and the room very comfortable with everything you needed. We were able to rent a scooter very easily from the owners. The location of the bungalow was excellent and due to it being away from the road this made it extremely quiet.

We wish we could have stayed longer, but unfortunately we had already made other plans.

Amaleena is the perfect hostess. She arranged for transportation from the pier to the hotel, greeted us with a welcome drink and a delicious rice dish, rented us a scooter, made all the arrangements for our departure. Our stay at Koh Yao Noi was very relaxing. Our room was spotless, great deck for morning coffee, bed and pillows were great! Breakfast had a nice selection and many tourists from outside the hotel came to eat there. I would stay there again!

Good location

For the price I thought it was too expensive for the very basic accommodation. There was no housekeeping. My bins were overflowing and never got emptied. The toilet was also blocked. The WiFi was subpar. For the price I'd expect to pay half.

Amaleena rescued us after we left our previous accommodation due to lack of air conditioning! We were warmly greeted with some lovely juice and some suggestions of places to visit. Amaleena is absolutely lovely and really makes you feel welcome. Bungalows are very clean and comfortable and set in a beautiful garden. Within walking distance of some good restaurants and a beautiful beach. Great value for money, and Amaleena owns a gorgeous cafe where you can have breakfast (additional cost) - great coffee and roti.

Everything was great!

Overall it is good, and the owner is a nice lady that can help you organize everything you need, but it wasn’t exceptional. The AC was good. It had a patio with table and two chairs, which is a nice addition.

There is no pool, the beach is far, you need to drive to it, the breakfast was very average compared to what you can get other places on the island, and not included in the room price, which was quite steep as it was, coffee was ok, nothing exceptional, and overall it was a pricey stay for not many extras. I would not stay again.

The location is very near several restaurants and beachside bars, cafes. Bicycle and scooter rental is reasonable. Bungalow unit was clean, comfortable with good hot water, spacious patio. Plenty of breakfast options. The woman who was our host was very gracious and was helpful booking ferry tickets and transport to the pier.

The TV didn’t work. We didn’t miss it, so didn’t make an effort to have it working.
