Baansuan Amaleena

Location was great for beaches and good local restaurants , staff were lovely and Breakfasts were very good

Air con made nosies through the night which resulted in poor sleep ! Outside space was not very inviting !

We had the most wonderful stay at Bannsuan Amaleena. The accommodation was very comfortable, spacious and clean, the breakfast and coffee were delicious and our host, Amaleena, was like a ray of sunshine. The location was great: peaceful, but with local amenities nearby and only 5 minutes walk to the beach. We were able to rent scooters from Amaleena and I believe that there were also bicycles available. We were really blown away by our experience on the island, including this accommodation; I'm sure we'll be returning to stay again!

Great and quiet location, 7 min walk to a sandy beach and main bars area, plenty of restaurants within minutes from the property. Amazing breakfast cooked by Ameleena and the best coffee. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Beds are quite hard for our like

As one reviewer on Trip Advisor said, "Amaleena herself is the star of the show." And it's true ... from the start, she made me feel taken care of. And that goes a long way! And the bungalow itself was nicer than I anticipated. It had AC, minimalist decor, and a huge, full wall of windows. Although it's not on the beach, it's in a central location ... walkable to SO much. They even sell well-priced tickets to other islands that include all of the transfers including hotel pickup. Thank you for your hospitality, Amaleena & crew!!

Location, but they can't help that lol ... I always think a pool/sauna/steam room is nice, but for the price point, this was a great value

The bungalow was very nice

I was surprised that they never cleaned my room, unless I asked, and even then they should have been more thorough. My soaps ran empty. Had to ask for water every day. They should be more attentive. Maybe I needed to be more direct with them. They are very nice, but should increase their level of attentiveness. It's not always about making money. I felt like it was.

Amelina is a very lovely lady. There are a few restaurants within minutes walk (LEKS) was our favourite. You can walk to the beach within about 8 minutes.

The service at breakfast was a little erm laid back. You had to ask for the room to be cleaned, change of towels etc. A couple more glasses and tea and coffee would be useful if this is the case.
