Chandys Drizzle Drops - Munnar Top Station

- The view from the room is lovely when the mist clears. - We were generously upgraded to the Royal Suite.

- Seven hour unpleasant drive from Fort Kochi. - The service is attentive but extremely inefficient, e.g. meals were consistently late. - Food varied between mediocre to poor. - Room had all the mod cons but devoid of character. - In short, this is not an international standard five star hotel in terms of service and finish.

The rooms are made well, the food is very nice and the service was top.

I had different expectations for this property. After traveling so far to reach the serene mountain tops, I was hoping for peace and tranquility. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. The loud music during the bonfire and poorly soundproofed rooms made it hard to enjoy the calm we were seeking. Privacy was another issue. Sitting on the balcony felt uncomfortable, as it allowed others on the property a clear view inside, which was quite intrusive. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this might not be the ideal choice. There are better options in Munnar that offer more serenity and value for a lower price.

We were upgraded to the Royal Suite when we stayed here for 2 nights this Christmas, and couldn’t believe our luck! The view is absolutely incredible and the room features a hot tub, sauna and steam room! It was like staying in our own personal spa! The staff were lovely and very attentive. Since it was Christmas we were treated to carols, live music and fireworks, and the food was incredible for every meal. Highly recommended!

The location. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and the kind we had never seen before. So serene, tranquil and calming.

Nothing to dislike but would have been great if they offered more activities.

Absolutely beautiful place - view is probably the best I've ever had from a hotel. Sitting out on the balcony was delightful. Hotel restaurant also excellent. And the staff are brilliant.

The gym is not really a gym. And it is a real trek to get to - but once you're there, it's a really lovely vibe.
