Decent food

Bedbugs, annoying restaurant staff, no vents in the bathroom, shower falling apart,

Everything was excellent!

Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We also had a lovely sea view. We spent time relaxing around the swimming pool with it's view of the beautiful green hills. The food was exceptional - at all mealtimes there was a good variety of both traditional Greek dishes and international cuisine. All the staff were pleasant and friendly especially Αγυρώ who gave us a lovely warm welcome and was always extremely helpful. During our stay we both had an aromatherapy massage in the on site beauty salon. I can honestly say that it was one of the best I have ever had! We will be back Atali Grand!

Food was pretty good, a big selection however it was a little bit repetitive after a while. Blue cheese to keep close to the entrance without any cover every day was not the best idea due to the smell... Restaurant, Reception and Housekeeping staff was really friendly and helpful.

The French Animators from 9:30am until 11pm with loud music and an even louder microphone was way too loud and too much. I understand that some activity is needed, but a lot of people go for holidays to relax, not to hear every day the same songs from morning until late evening also shouting constantly into a microphone. We couldn't go to sleep early or wake up late due to the loud noise from the animators around the whole hotel! Not to mention that it was almost only in French, when there were guests from various countries. The building's exterior was highlighted with blue lights which looked great in the evening, but it was shining into the room every night until 00:30 (curtains didn't cover it). All inclusive bar was fully separated from the normal bar with only ouzo and rakija type of drinks, you would expect more selection (even if not from branded drinks).

We had a great 4 night stay at Atali Grand before we moved onto other areas of Crete! The room was a bit basic, but modern, clean and comfortable, just needed a couple of updates to make it perfect. We tried all the pools and all had all inclusive bars. The main pool was quite fun if you like music playing and activities. The pool across the road was very relaxed which we liked. We didn’t think we would use the waterpark but checked it out one morning and ended up staying the day there as was not too busy and had areas to sunbathe as well as use the slides. We were pleasantly surprised by the food at all meals and really happy with the range and Greek dishes available. The grill area where the pancakes/loukoumades for breakfast or grilled meat, fish and pizzas for lunch/dinner was a great addition. The drinks available on all inclusive does not include all spirits, you could get soft drinks, coffees/teas, ouzo/raki/brandy/mastika, beers and wines, which was fine for us. I had read not to go if English due to the French entertainment but this didn’t bother us as we don’t often attend hotel entertainment on holidays. However the French speaking entertainment staff were very friendly, inclusive and also spoke in English. We went to a couple of the evening entertainments and it was quite fun. The hotel was in a great location just a short walk to local shops, bars and tavernas. The bars on the beachfront are really nice if fancy a change. Close by to the little train stop which takes you round Bali and to the bus stop.

- The room could do with a couple of updates to improve. - it would be good if the outdoor al a carte bar also served all inclusive as often there’d be a queue at the all inclusive bar and a staff member at the other bar with no customers - some comfier seating at the outdoor bar overlooking the sea would be great - the room safe should be free

The food was delicious. There were variety of different types of food including seafood. The location is perfect, you are surrounded by the mountains and the sea. The water park is great and we had a lot of fun there (both adults). The staff was awesome, very pleasant (but not too much as typically in Turkey for example) and always ready to listen to you. We had an excellent experience with the coupe massage and so far it was the best massage ever!
