Roka Resort by ARKasia Foundation

The peaceful atmosphere was great. Giving us cozy and chill vibes. Staff are kind. The cat I encountered few times at restaurant was pleasnat and cute. Oh they would plan to renovate this place from September 2025. I guess things would get better. I definitely would like to be back :)

Shower was a bit too slow. Restaurant seems to be run by minimum crew. So It took a while for us to get food and some menus were not available.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is very peaceful. The room was perfect - spacious and very clean and nice decor.

Not a criticism of Roka itself, but just to be aware, there really isn't that much around the area - no other restaurants or cafes. The restaurant in Roka itself was great- good choices, nice food, beautiful setting. But after a few days, not much variety.

It’s true that the sandflies were a slight nuisance. I definitely had an itchy few days afterwards but they were very upfront about that and provided creams. Honestly I could have been more on it. The Aircon also very loud which was a shame as the ocean waves would have been nice to hear.

Großartiges und aufmerksames Personal!

Das Restaurant hatte nur ca. die Hälfte der Gerichte tatsächlich im Angebot. Der Grill und Ofen waren kaputt.

The sandflys 🥶

The staff is really good, the location is perfect for cycling trip and looping around the mountains. The restaurant is basic but the staff goes above expectations. The bay is so calm.

Sand flies! I forgot to wear once the insect repellent and I got cover by bites by walking on the beach in front of the resort for 20 min. If plan to stay there just make sure you have a strong insect repellent or long pant and sleeves. If you are going there for training (running/cycling) be aware there are limited food options in the shops. Things like fresh milk, oats or fresh fruit can only be found in the neighborhood village around 10km by scooter. Also no pharmacy in nearby villages.

Die Hotel ist sehr schön und die Zimmer sind der groß und gut ausgestattet (gerade für den Preis)! Alles ist sehr sauber gehalten und das Zimmer wird jeden Tag geputzt. Das Personal ist zudem sehr freundlich.

Auf der Hotelanlage befindet sich ein Restaurant, an welches man aufgrund der etwas isolierten Lage des Hotels angewiesen ist. Unter der Woche hat das Restaurant leider nur wenige der Gerichte zu Verfügung. Konkret war das Frühstück verfügbar und vegetarische Reis- und Nudelgerichte; kein Fisch/Fleisch oder Nachtisch bis auf das Eis. Das Essen des Restaurants ist zum Teil gut, jedoch sehr simple. Zudem ist gut zu wissen, dass überall Katzen sind, die gerne auch mal auf den Schoß springen und dass unter der Woche selten wirklich Gäste da zu sein scheinen. Wir waren 2 Tage die einzigen Gäste, was zwar positiv sein kann uns aber auch ein etwas seltsames Gefühl gegeben hat.
