Bobocha Siladen Boutique Resort

Memorable location, amazing staff, great food, dive staff is excellent and accommodating

We did not have a pool for the first half of our stay they worked hard to fix but there were ways they could have compensated for this

Unreal house reef, so if you love snorkelling you won’t be bored, staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this resort. Dolphin trip was also great.

Maybe slightly larger portion sizes needed at lunch and breakfast but other than that everything was great.

The location is the biggest asset. Beach is really nice and the house reef seems still healthy. The cottages are cute. Staff was friendly.

The price for value was very poor. This resort was overpriced, as it lacked the basics to be expected. It seemed to us the owner wants to keep the price level similar to other resorts on this small island, but it lacked the comparable quality level. The running water only was available from 5:30pm - 8am, and when available is was not fresh water but brackish (salty!). The amount of drinking water was not sufficient and you had to always ask. The electricity was limited, but that was not an issue for us. The cottage was cute but the bathroom needs to be remodeled (there was also mold). Pricing was not transparent. Food was tasty but lacked variety. You got feeling that they want to safe money on everything, on all services to maximise their profits. We visited other resorts on the island and they had no issues with water and electricity so it seems like lack of sufficient investment.

The accommodation and location we’re both excellent as was the food. The food was exceptional bearing in mind dietary requirements. GreatVegetarian selection. The ambience and the view were stunning. The staff were delightful. They were very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to eat all our meals (in the shade if required) on the beach overlooking Bunaken Island and the volcano in the distance. It was absolutely stunning at sunset time when the sea turned red as did the sky. Snorkeling off the house reef was easy and the hotel could arrange to take you to Bunaken Reef to dive or snorkel a multitude of of wonderful fish and turtles. The resort has its own beautiful boat and they are happy to arrange collection from the main island of Sulawesi. Having said that the snorkeling off the end of the jetty was lovely too (and Free)! When we arrived to start our holiday, Julia welcomed us on the beach and was an absolute star throughout the whole stay. Not only was she brilliant at running the resort, but she was extremely helpful after we had left and we would recommend this very friendly resort without hesitation. We met Sarah the owner on several occasions and she was very welcoming and and helped to make the whole adventure. A very personal experience.

Everything at the resort was very positive. The only thing to remember, is that from 7 AM to 5 PM there is not always electricity provided to the island. However, this what’s pointed out before we made our booking and it didn’t have any effect whatsoever on the enjoyment of the holiday. This actually made us appreciate island life more fully and helped us to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. There is air-conditioning in the rooms which were used at night time.

Inte ens hälften. Vi har rest runt på andra boenden innan den här destinationen som vi var nöjda med, men tänkte oss gå upp lite i nivå sista veckan och valde då Bobocha Siladen. Vi gick tyvärr på priset och tänkte att det skulle spegla verkligheten. Väl på plats blev vi väldigt besvikna på flera saker: Elen stängs av dagtid, när elen är på så har hela destinationen 10Amp, det räcket till typ lampa och ladda telefonen, ac fungerar men är så låg effekt på så det kyler knappt, maten är inte i paritet med priset! visst är det smakrikt men billiga råvaror och flera saker saknades på frukosten, vi gick till grannen för att köpa en drink eller en öl(halva priset) generellt tar boendet ut mycket mer pengar än andra boenden i närområdet, dyrt med transport, vi anlitade lokala fiskare för transport för 10% av boendets begärda transport-resor. Så, hade boendet med transport-mat-dykning kostat hälften så hade vi kanske inte känt oss så lurade.
