Stay Wild Retreats 'Glamping Pods and Tents'

We loved the availability for all our friends, however, we didn't realise there were additional tents available as it said they were booked on Booking.com. However, it was really nice to then speak to the owners to get these.

For us, it was really nice as we were able to have all our friends together for our sten Do, however, if the other rooms were booked, it would have felt awful for them to just be lumped with us as everything is quite close together, so we were very thankful to be the only ones there. It may be good to have an option to book the entire place for group bookings like ours.

Quiet, Comfortable bed, clean, easy to find and great canal walks. My son and I cooked steak in the fire pit and chilled

Could’ve done with hooks in the shower room for towels and clothes

No wash basin with warm water. Tiny basin barely big enough for teeth brushing. Nobody wanted to use the shower in same cubicle as the single toilet, also as other people on site. Normally when camping we would’ve hand a stand up wash but no basin, didn’t feel like it was ok to use kitchen sink as other people staying. were just going home so stayed mucky but either been a prob for a longer stay, we’ve campers lot and the wash facilities were below cheap campsite standard. Even an outdoor bigger sink with warm water and a screen would put the glam in glamping. The cabin also sloped backwards. More hooks and a little washing line would be helpful too. Looked more secluded on the description but lots of road noise and It mentioned that there were woodland walks but we couldn’t get out of the garden area.

An excellent short stay, I love the efforts the host has put in to make your stay enjoyable. The pre arrival welcoming instructions were clear. The host was there to welcome us and show us to the pods and the facilities. Pods, kitchen area and toilets were all very clean. Pods were spotlessly clean, think IKEA show bedroom but surrounded by nature. You are then left to enjoy your stay, connect with nature and the surroundings and most importantly to relax. A great getaway from the hustle and bustle. A perfect day. No complaints at all. I will be heading back soon, 100% recommended. We did a breakfast bbq on the fire pit.

Attractive location with fields and trees. Pub just a short walk away. Appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee etc - that was a really nice touch. Friendly helpful staff.

Very steep steps down to the glamping pods area - no handrail! Felt it was rather overpriced for a ‘shed with a bed’ . Bit muggy at night- no windows that you can leave open, only the door.
