Sunrise Resort Hotel

Visited this hotel with family of 4 children. Quite terrible servise as there is no peace at night. Few persons were very loud through night and security didn't do anything, despite several times claimed. It is not normal, that all other quests have to suffer, because few persons want to have fun loudly in the night.

We've been staying at this hotel for 4 years in a row Food, beach, staff - all good. I would especially like to note the work of the beach lifeguard Ismail (a very responsible young man: with such lifeguard, you can really feel safe. The only thing that upset me this year was the cleaning of the room.

Stayed in the Club Family room, extremely comfortable, very solid mattress which were perfect for us! Location was great lovely accommodation in perfect settings! Plenty of food options with the buffet restaurant, numerous snack bars, selection of wonderful A La Carte's Can have a different day with so many pools, always able to get a sun bed, would be nice to have a few chairs around the pool, as my husband doesn't like a sunbed. It is slippery around the pool and could do with a few more Blue rubber mats for safety! We had a few days in the Secret Garden Pavilions, they are amazing and worth the extra cost! with waiter service for food and drinks all day, your private space with good shade or sun loungers in the direct sun or with shade, ample towels and mini bar and lovely waterfall pool with in pool sun loungers All the staff as happy and welcoming, guest services are amazing and very pro-active! It is a very eastern European hotel, with very few British, which we liked There was a lot of entertainment, we didn't attend much, but all we saw was good!

Staff were fantastic. Amazing selection of international food for all meals most of which was fresh and well prepared. Pools, bars, cafe's and public areas were really fantastic [as you are basically getting the whole complex including the sister Starlight hotel] always well cleaned and never seemed crowded. Amazing choice pretty much 24/7!. Water park was great and again not too crowded. Resort is extremely well kept in general - congrats to the gardening team for a beautiful job. Duplex rooms are absolutely superb for a family of four - lots of space, well equipped and the kids even have their own bathroom! Evening entertainment programme very good in the amphitheater [though it would be really great if they banned smoking in the amphitheater at least for the shows - and that's from a smoker!]

Can be a bit chaotic in the dining room for evening meal. WiFi in the duplex apartments is terrible but ok in public areas. Mexican for a-la-carte was pretty terrible experience and not up to par with the high standards of service set by the hotel. Be wary of people selling shopping excursions on the beach. They are not affiliated to the hotel even though they suggest that they are - that said one organized tour was very good.

Everything was very good: 1) Territory of the hotel is huge, combo of two hotels and very green. A lot of places where to walk either with the family or for romantic walks. 2) Rooms: we did a stay again in family bungalow and a flat was quite big. 4) Food itself and organization of the meal process in the restaurant is better than in neighborhood hotel. Sorry Starlight! However views from the restaurant are better at Starlight :-))). 4) Beach: own clean beach with quite a number of sun beds, simple bar and the pier where you can jump to the sea. 5) Exceptional SPA complex at Starlight which you can visit from Sunrise.

Some small things: 1) Rooms: mosquito screens needs to attach firmly (room no.3408) 2) Waiters in the restaurant needs to be better trained in order to catch what guests may need at the table. 3) Beach: guests are trying to book sun beds from the evening by dropping own things on sun beds. The result: in the morning it doesn’t matter at what time you came to beach, best places are booked out. No wooden walkway and height difference at the second beach area right on a sand if you go left from the bridge. Because of that no way to reach there with baby carriage. 4)SPA: Shower area needs a lot of repair: out of four showers only one is working!! 5) We ordered taxi transfer to airport from the desk in the hotel. It was luxury minivan, but with a big but: aircon works good only for the driver, in a passanger area it was +36 degrees (!) all the way to the airport. The driver can‘t change the situation. We had a poor airflow of warm air only. So we were fried well when arrived to airport. This is spoiled impression about the stay a bit.

I would have given it 8 or even less if the facilities were just limited to Sunrise resort hotel but being able to avail everything at Starlight made it worth the price and even exceeded expectations. There are a plethora of restaurants to enjoy from and the entertainment (called as animation in Turkish) events were amazing!

Room cleaning and amenities lacked a bit and the beach was much filled with pebbles. Be sure to get a good pair of beach shoes before you delve into the water.
