Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom - A CGH Earth Experience

Location. Room. Lake views from both front porch and the seating area at the back of the villa.

No in- room service or denied service. We asked for room service on the day we landed and were curtly told that the property does not offer room service and it was on the last day of stay that we realised (as told to us by the manager) that they do have room service but on staff discretion! The main restaurant is open and has only fans. The high humidity made the entire dining experience quite poor especially in the afternoons.

The stay was at a nice Beautiful location. The resort had a lot of in house activities to engage tourists and a spa etc which was lovely to have. My in-laws who visited India for the first time , liked that they could experience the culture and traditions of Kerala at this resort, from the old bunglaws to traditional dances etc.

We weren’t a fan of the open washroom and shower . Especially since there were mosquitoes and other insects like moths . Was not our favorite. Ideally would have preferred a closed washroom . Additionally, the roofs of some of the bungalows leaked in the room during the rain, which was not ideal either. One of our bungalows had an issue with the toilet . One other thing was that the resort didn’t have any first aid or OTC medicine. The hospital is far away from this place hence for some cases not having any immediate solution until you reach a doctor especially if someone ate some food that didn’t sit right with them or a kid got hurt or fell sea sick, was not ideal. There is a Ayurvedic doctor available during certain times of the day , but having a first aid kit with emergency medicine would be ideal

The architect and design of the layout of the entire resort which was so tastefully designed . Expansive size , nature , beauty to blend with Kumarakom what it is for . Lastly the service of all the staff who we cross each other every day , they were all exceptional.
