Cha Bungalow

Wonderful experience on the laid back island of Koh Yao Noi. Cha was a perfect host who went out of her way to make our stay very special.

Cha was just as nice as everyone said she would be. Very kind, helpful and generous lady. She helped me with transfers, and offered to teach me how to ride a bike. She chatted with me and even gave me a small coin purse when I left. She even gave me a lift nearby when she realised I couldn't drive. It is easy to get a taxi for 100 baht from the pier to the accommodation. You can rent a scooter to get around but the beach and some restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. There is a lovely massage place nearby too. You are in a rural location, near a mosque and can hear geckos, insects, birds and the call to prayer which is very relaxing. There is no air conditioning but when I visited in Feb this was fine with just using a fan. But I was travelling solo so if two were in the room it might be more challenging. The price was by far and away the most affordable option I could find on the island. Cha even made me a Thai breakfast for 50 baht which was really delicious and healthy. There is not a lot to do on the island (at least without a scooter) so I spent my time lying on the beach, eating food at restaurants, getting a massage, doing yoga and mostly just reading my book. A real break away from life. Oh but there is WiFi which I was very surprised by!

As long as you know that this option is rural with no AC then you can be prepared for a great stay.

Everything was perfect!

We loved Cha. She is like a bottle of liquid sunshine. I am from Montana and love simple cabins. These bungalows are jungle cabins with beautiful open windows and everything you need including mosquito net. Didn’t really see many of those thi.

Some would complain about bo wifi or no hot water. To me it is welcome relief. Paradise!!!

The bungalow is really nice and comfortable. Cha, the host is a wonderful sweet lady. She is so kind, it feels very welcoming.

Super friendly and helpful host. Cha is so lovely. Quiet part of the island with jungle feeling.

The accommodation we stayed in was comfortable and big enough with bathroom facilities, albeit quite basic. However, the landlady was extremely helpful, kind and pleasant. She had broken English, but did everything to make our stay pleasant. One can rent a bike from her and there are some restaurants about 10 minutes walk from her place. One of the piers is also very close to her place (same distance than restaurants).

We chose the rooms with fans only and the room was rather warm during the night, but not so much that it would stop us sleeping.
