Marari Green Villas

Not just the room, the whole experience of the property, people and staff was very nice. The food cooked by Himanshu was excellent as well. There was a lot of personal touch to the care provided by this family run set up, and the owners are extremely helpful and will help organise trips, taxis, tuktuks. Mr. Suresh was an excellent host at the hotel/resort!

Nothing really.. The water pressure for the shower was slightly low compared to other hotels we have stayed in India, so might be the only thing to look into.

A peaceful calm haven . Lovely to have the pool. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated .

Room was clean, pool is big and clean, was great to swim! Located about 10min walk from the beach, has everything necessary close by such as small shops, pharmacies, etc. The beds was comfortable and big! Staff helpful and breakfast tasted good and was filling. PS. Marari beach is super beautiful! Has many seafront restaurants and overall this place has a relaxing tropical island vibes, can recommend the area for vacation plans!

Some amenities in the room were broken (such as towel hanger in the bathroom). Couldn't get the TV working but it didn't seem to have any smart tv functions anyway. The shower pressure is extremely weak. Not hotel fault but it's close to one of the loudspeakers so during the local religious holidays you won't get to sleep past 5AM due to loud chanting/music. Overall, we felt the price was a bit high compared to other hotels we stayed in India that were of better quality and cheaper.

A very friendly family run hotel in a great location. A welcome haven after a 14 day tour of S India. There’s a lovely pool and restful gardens and it is just a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach. My room was very clean, spacious and cool with a comfortable bed and opened out onto a covered veranda overlooking the pool and garden. Breakfast was excellent and dinner could be ordered and cooked by a talented chef at a very reasonable price - and all served by the delightful Rose

This is a peaceful, hotel with spacious, clean rooms and a beautiful pool and garden. About 10 minutes walk to the stunning beach of Marari, where there are several little restaurants serving fresh fish. The hotel provides cycles, but we enjoyed the walk. We stayed for 4 nights after a hectic tour of Southern India, and it was ideal for us to relax after such a hectic couple of weeks. What made it special for us was the family who run the hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was a bother; the owner even nipped out to get us some beers to enjoy by the pool. The chef here produces excellent home made food; we enjoyed an array of dishes which he explained to us and adapted to our tastes. Breakfast was plentiful and inexpensive, with omelette, fresh fruit, toast, jam and a traditional Kerala dish, which changed every morning. Air-con and ceiling fan kept the rooms lovely and cool. We appreciated the drying rack provided in each room, which meant we could do some washing after our trip. The whole place was kept immaculately clean by Rose, who always greeted us with a cheerful smile. Highly recommended

The rooms were clean and comfortable, which we appreciated.

However, the experience was let down by poor communication from the host—my message regarding the booking confirmation went unanswered for almost three days, which was quite frustrating. Upon arrival, there was no one at the reception, which added to the inconvenience. Additionally, the location was not ideal, as the place is far from nice restaurants, and they don’t offer lunch, making it a hassle to find good dining options nearby. Overall, while the rooms were nice, the lack of responsiveness and the location made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

Marari Green is a must if you're planning to stay in Marari. The accommodation is large and well fitted out, with good aircon and hot showers. The owners and staff could not be more accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. The swimming pool and garden are a welcome oasis in the heat of the day and if you fancy a walk to the excellent local beach it's only a few hundred meters away. The breakfast and evening meals were all cooked from fresh and simply scrumptious.
