Marari Green Villas

Friendly and accommodating staff, good value, nice pool

This was a very small family run hotel with only 10 rooms (5 rooms and 5 villas). We were a party of 4 and, whilst there, were the only occupants so had exclusive use of the property - lovely! A large pool and the rooms were all of a great size (we had 2 rooms and one villa). The staff could not have been friendlier or ore helpful and, although the hotel did not technically have a restaurant, they rustled us up a couple of lunches whilst we were there.

The hotel felt more like a homestay than an hotel based on the facilities. There was no bar or restaurant in the hotel and, having got there, we discovered that Kerala is technically a dry state! The staff did do a daily beer & soft drink run for us though and did provide a couple of lunches - you just need to be a little more organised!

It's a lovely place to stay and very secure even while travel as ladies only with kids. The hostess is very friendly and accommodating giving a home like feel. All the needs are met and the facilities are complete. Just 10 minutes walk from the beach, it's perfect for a quick get away. Highly recommended stay at marari

It was very thoughtful of Anandhu to contact me through whatsapp, then ask when I would be arriving, providing travel directions, and even locations of restaurants to eat at. Anandhu and his mother are so kind, helpful and friendly with check in and ensuring that I would be comfortable with my stay, the rooms are large and comfortable, I liked the seated area outside of my cabin looking towards the pool, the breakfast was amazing, so much food for me. Great WiFi, They offer push bikes, which was great as you really cant get around unless you have wheels, as everything is very far away.

The property is a little far from the beach, and I never realised it was a homestay. There is not too much privacy, thankfully I had the whole place to myself (there is 5 cabins and 3 rooms on top of their private home) The pool was too hot to swim in and really needs a vacuum as the bottom was covered in stones and sand. If they planted a few more trees for privacy and to keep the pool and tiles around the pool cooler it would assist. The toilet flush was fidgety and the shower head far too high above.

We absolutely loved our stay Anandhu and his mom were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome, they gave us good recommendations and provided us with a homecooked fresh breakfast. We also loved that we could use the free bikes to explore the area Thank you so much

Only small things: they could improve the water pressure in the shower and the location is not ideal for a great variety of food, but that is not their fault
