Everything was great, Roberto, April and the team were amazing hosts. April's cooking is delicious, I recommend the Tuna Sisig, curries and the mango shakes. Roberto has a lot of suggestions for activities including going for a motorbike ride along Long Beach, you can hire a motorbike from Sunset Beach.

The best what we saw not just in Philippines, but maybe even in any of our travels. This place is something else and the only our regret was that we only booked it for 4 nights, and that we knew from the start that after this stay all our rest of the Philippines experience will be in the dark shadow as it wont be able to come even close to our time in Sunset Beach resort... The place is owned by the nicest couple in the world - April and Roberto, and run buy their lovely family. Their lovely dogs Kikay and Sam are also a great addition to their team. The place is located next to San Vicente airport, so this is truly the best way to reach them fast, we arrived from Cebu airport to Puerto Princesa airport, so we took private car to the resort and it took about 3 h, which was fine as well. Resort has all you need to relax there: fantastic small restaurant with amazing food, great drinks and very reasonable prices. Roberto will provide you with best insights of the area, will help you to organize your tours which are by the way much cheaper then any of the tours you can get at El Nido, and they are individual and much more personal, relaxed and enjoyable. Even though the resort is quite distant, they will arrange e-trike taxi to near town for groceries if you need it, it is really near and the trip is really cheap. As well they have scooters on their property if needed. The sunsets are really majestic there! Even though due to the tides the resort is not a place to swim in the sea, we did lots of snorkeling during our island hopping tours, to their pool fulfilled our needs perfectly. The resort has only 5 rooms, so it is perfect place to have very personal attention, it is maximum cozy and lovely. I work in the hospitality business my self for 20 years already, and I can assure you that this place is something undeniable special, with really exceptional people who lifts up all the experience.

The stay was too short :(

This place is wonderful. Roberto, April and their team run a nice well oiled machine with love and care for details. The food is outstanding, the island hopping tours, both of them, are amazing. This part of Palawan is a hidden treasure, away from the busy, overcrowded and over hyped places, here you will find peace, friendly faces and hospitality at its best. You can rent a car or a scooter. Also the San Vicente airport is just around the corner, don’t miss the wreck boat when you are landing is just beside the Resort :). We flew from Cebu directly to San Vicente, really convenient!

Everything was perfect!

It was beachfront and the sunsets were great! Roberto was so accommodating and assisted us with our island hopping tour which was of very good value. We got a boat for 4 and they only charged 1500 per person. We got additional service from Jefe.. providing us with “sisi” bisaya for barnacles he harvested from the sandbar which was so sweet and reminded me of beach days at home when i was young. The scooter rental from the resort provided us the freedom to explore and get “lost” . Getting “lost” gave us the opportunity to discover more people and delicacies!! Our 4 days and 4 nights with Sunset beach resort: Roberto, April and the whole staff including Jefe and John Jacob boat crew made our San Vicente unforgettable!!

Unfortunately we lost the internet on the 2nd night until the end of the trip, short power outages which we understood was far beyond their control. The room tends to get warm with the way the a/c unit is situated. A ceiling fan would be nice.

The welcome was beyond this world. Roberto welcomed us as if we were old friends he had not seen for years. We immediately loved the place. The resort is stunning and so well kept and the staff are great! You know when they say the host goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and at home? Well for Roberto it could not be anymore true!

A bit difficult to reach but it is because we took the wrong transport choice. Hire a private van! The electricity/wifi went off a few times but this is totally normal for palawan. It happened in other places as well.

We had such a lovely time here. As soon as we arrived we wished we’d booked for longer. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent and the view is spectacular.

Where to start! Such an amazing place, Roberto and April along with their team really make you feel like family. The food was all outstanding (think we tried nearly everything and it was all SO good), the rooms are a nice size and the location is the perfect spot to chill out and relax.
