"Happy to have discovered this pearl!"

10.0

The food offered was very good. The hostess and her personnel went out of their way to offer terrific service, even suggesting nearby sites we should visit. I would spend an entire week relaxing at this villa were it not so expensive…

It is in the country so you must have a car to travel around, otherwise very quiet.

The breakfast was good but would have liked a choice of eggs like scrambled.

I would have liked a kettle in the room. The bedding was excellent very comfortable.

Nice property with very kind staff, they made delicious meals for us when requested!

The AC was not working and we were there in 40 degrees in the peak summer in august. They were already aware of the issue and did not communicate this to us nor had it fixed while we were there, making our stay quite uncomfortable on the whole.

"Lovely place, beautifully decorated, generous hosts and lovely lunch by the pool. Beds and lack of airconditioning made"

7.0

The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious

No air-conditioning and many mosquitos so you couldn’t have the windows open at night. Also the beds we found to be very firm and only two thin pillows.

"Amazing stay for family"

10.0

This hotel / suites was the perfect stay. The hosts made it the most enjoyable time. They cook fresh every day, going to the markets and cooking each evening. The room was stunning and really traditional. You will need a car to stay here. Sophia was the best and was at our every need. There is a amazing waterfall 1 hour away which is worth the visit.

That we couldn’t stay longer !

"This place should not rest on its laurels (Tuscany)"

6.0

The property is in Tuscany which really speaks for itself. The Villa is walking distance from the centre of San Giustino Valdarno, which is a quaint little village. The pool was just divine especially as it was terribly hot during my stay. The breakfast each morning was adequate. One of the mornings I enjoyed a jam filled biscuit (fully embracing the non traditional breakfast options).

As a solo traveller sans car I felt that the accommodation could have been more generous in assisting with transport especially at the price. I paid €40 for a taxi from Arezzo. Whether that be providing a transfer service from Arezzo or sticking me on the milk run vehicle, I really would not have minded. One of the staff members was particularly perturbed by my non-car ambitions claiming I’d be resigned to the Villa for my entire stay. She did eventually assist me in finding a bicycle to get to a winery which for myself was within comfortable walking distance, much appreciated nonetheless. There was no air conditioning but the fans on full blast were satisfactory. The interior is bucolic but old and cracks in the wood allow dust to collect and ants to roam freely. I asked for a kettle which was promised and never came. It’s funny how the winery (Tenuta Canto alla Moraia MUST DO) that I paid less than €100 to were more generous than the accomodation that I gave €528 (two nights) to they dropped me back post my wine tasting and brought me to Arezzo the following day. I guess the accomodation is only accustomed to wealthy internationals with cars. What a shame as this was the ‘fancy’ leg of my trip tarnished ironically by the pursuit of Villa Cassia to be strictly ‘fancy’.
