A Truly Relaxing and Memorable Stay I had the pleasure of staying at Ahas Gawwa, Padukka on the 16th and 17th of May, and from the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional. I was warmly welcomed with a refreshing welcome juice, and Udara personally greeted me and escorted me to my suite. The suite was impressively spacious, well-appointed with all the necessary amenities, and incredibly calm—perfect for a peaceful getaway. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. I requested meals with less oil, and the kitchen team prepared everything exactly to my preference—delicious, thoughtful, and tailored. A big thanks to Chef Dinush for his attention to detail. The following morning, I spent some relaxing time by the pool. It was a serene and calming experience. I also want to mention the pool attendant—although he was new and I didn’t catch his name, he was genuinely helpful and did his best to make the experience enjoyable. Throughout my stay, the customer service was top-notch. I would especially like to thank Udara, Chef Dinush, and Dimuth for their friendliness and excellent service. They made me feel genuinely cared for. Overall, my stay at Ahas Gawwa was perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable escape with great hospitality.

View was amazing. Probably the best view of Colombo from the hills. A lot of greenery, no other properties close by. Secluded quiet place. Can’t think of a better area closer to Maharagama/Nugegoda. Excellent service and food. Good value for money.

No major issues.

A wonderful, secluded and peaceful place in the hills. We really loved our stay at Ahas Gawwa, the view from the infinity pool across to Adam’s Peak is perfect and from the upper deck eating area you can even see as far as Colombo. The freshly prepared breakfast was great and we also enjoyed a delicious selection of curry dishes for dinner. Would love to come back and stay for longer if we get the chance to visit beautiful Sri Lanka again.

The place is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The view is breathtaking from the restaurant, the swimming pool has a very nice view and is clean. The suite room is very large with a large balcony and the bed is very comfortable. However, some improvement is required.

The price charged is close to 5-star hotel so the set-up and service should match. We suggest these improvements: 1. The bedroom-suite is very beautiful but some items are missing: - Light over the kitchen sink which is very dimly lit - Bed reading lights on each side of the bed - Ceiling fan or at least a standing fan facing the bed and one facing the sofa (more eco friendly saving energy) - In the bathroom shelves to put our (at least 2) toilet bags as there is absolutely no space around the sink, not even for our toothbrushes - In the cupboard, more cloth hangers and one more shelve on each side at the bottom - By the side of sink a tray for drying the cups and a small towel 2. The way between the bedroom and the restaurant - When it rains (and it rained every day during our stay) the path is flooded. You have put sand which is good but it gets flooded. One suggestion is to add a path of flat stones above the sand so our feet will not be soaked in water 3. Restaurant - Menu card should be in proper English and checked before getting it laminated. There should be more than one menu. Dish choice is very limited, and vegetables came semi-cooked. - Service: The server is very friendly but lacks training. it would be nice to have napkins, cutlery and water by default without having to ask for it. - Stock management: There was no Soda water after the first day and no Tea sachets available after the third day. Stock was exhausted. Stock management needs to be improved
