Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive

This review reflects a deeply disappointing experience at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. Upon arrival, we were not provided with a resort map, making navigation through the vast complex extremely challenging and leading to frequent disorientation. Our initial excitement at being assigned a villa quickly dissipated. For four out of the five days of our stay, we endured unbearable heat due to a malfunctioning air conditioning unit. Instead of a proper repair, the resort merely refilled the freon, which provided only a temporary and insufficient solution. The constant noise from construction – tile cutting, jackhammering, and leaf blowing – further exacerbated our discomfort. The ongoing septic system work resulted in unbearable odors, forcing us to resort to blocking drains to minimize the stench. The villa itself was poorly maintained. Shower drains clogged repeatedly, leading to flooding in the room. Despite multiple requests, these issues remained unresolved. The quality of the food was consistently subpar, with limited and repetitive options. The only noticeable change to the dining experience was the display of different country flags. The resort's response to our concerns was utterly inadequate. Requests to change rooms due to the unbearable heat, noise, and odor were met with indifference, and in one instance, with laughter from a front desk staff member. Furthermore, we were not informed that the villa would not be stocked with beverages. Guests were expected to fill a provided glass bottle with water, with no access to soft drinks, coffee, or bottled water. This lack of transparency was a significant inconvenience. The resort's aggressive timeshare sales tactics were particularly off-putting. Timeshare representatives were persistent and dismissive of our "no" responses, constantly pressuring us to attend breakfast meetings. The overall service was poor, with front desk staff exhibiting rudeness and impatience when addressing guest inquiries. Recommendation: I strongly advise against staying in Villa #1428 and urge potential guests to exercise extreme caution when considering a stay at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. I hope this is helpful! SO during the day and at night. Couldn’t sleep because of the noise. lots Bees in the room each day. food is mostly bad, except the specials. hard to get a reservation .

Activities were fun and engaging. Staff was friendly.

Rooms were run down. Not many options for food. Unable to get bottled water anywhere but your room. Towels ran out quickly. Stray cats roaming around the hotel. Huge cockroach in the room. No stocked mini fridge. Not enough chairs on the beach or by the pool area. No wash clothes in the rooms.
