Maple Hut Four Acre Farm

The place is very well maintained , clean and tidy with everything you could want. We took the dog and there is a secure fence surrounding the whole pitch. Hard standing for the car, shower and toilet facility modern and very clean. The shepherds hut is a good size with everything you need. The bed was comfy kitchenette well stocked. I would happily return for another break

Nothing not to like

Tucked out of the way - so peaceful

I loved the outdoor space and privacy. This would have been ideal if we had a dog. I have never stayed somewhere like here before so it was nice. I noticed the place was exceptionally clean. There were cups, utensils and coffee/tea facilities. Towels were provided. The shower was a decent size. The bathroom was very nice and again everything spotlessly clean. This would also be ideal in summer to have friends for a barbeque or if like us, you are oil painters as you could, in good weather, really enjoy the scenery and paint outside. I come from the city so it was great to get fresh air in my lungs. The bathroom smelt lovely. The accommodation is fenced off with your own car park and all the fenced off land on the photos. We made friends with a lovely black cat and towards the end another came along :). I love cats so I did not mind however if you don’t they are no bother. I miss the black cat already. Also, the hosts were very helpful and polite in correspondence, they answered questions and friendly.

The outside is very dark at night. The bathroom is 34 steps from the hut. However, not a problem in summer but in pouring rain could be problem for some. Not wheelchair accessible.

We absolutely loved our stay, fantastic hut and a lovely modern separate shower hut with toilet, shower and toiletries. Outside of this hut is the bbq area, coals and utensils were supplied and there is an outdoor sink too. Two sun loungers were also provided as well as an outdoor table and benches. We made the most of the lovely weather on the first day and just stayed outside and had a lovely bbq. You have the whole field to yourself and you park your car within the gated field. Lovely touches in the hut, nice welcome basket with coffee bags, crisps, biscuits and tea bags/sugar all supplied.

Nothing at all we just loved it, our first time glamping and exceeded our expectations.

The Shepards Hut was clean, cosy, well thought out, lovely views and provided a 5 star night away.

Such a quirky idea, was lovely and peaceful. Facilities where lovely and clean, The host really thinks of everything, even a torch to walk to the toilet hut.
