Orchard Hideaways, Penrith, The Lake District

The location was good. It was very quiet and not far from ulswater, other attractions, shops ect. My son loved the park. Easy checkin and helpful staff.

The pods are heated, great plus for early season breaks.

A bit small but that’s expected

Checking in was simple, the facilities are great and clean.

When couples or families are taking pets, maybe put them in an enclosed pod. There are enclosed pods which would be great for pets.

The natural beauty of the setting and surroundings. The location. It s not far from town. There is a cultural centre with cinema, exhibition and shops, in near distance, a Gregg and a Burger King right outside.

The place is manned by any staff on site. I had a mobile number to call in case of need, but deemed unhelpful given the initial help i received to get to the property, hence didn’t bother afterwards. It was fully booked and no1 there to oversee. Supplies like toilet paper and hand soap ran out on the Saturday and had to do without till the Monday. Site s accessible for any one to walk up and into. I saw strangers coming in to look around one day, which alerted me and didnt let me sleep well. The mini fridge looks like a toy, would not fit supplies for one for 3 days so kept them outside the door. The sauna jacuzzi chill out and sizzle amenities where only bookable 8am for 1hr at £20 or 7pm for 3hrs at £50. So either not available all day or too expensive for one to use in evening.

I enjoyed the layout and the great facilities. Beds were comfortable and electric heater kept the place warm all weekend

Going to the toilet at 2am in the hail, at the other end of the camp but that's part of camping I guess
