"Beautiful location for a quiet getaway."

8.0

The bungalows were very private and quiet. The bar and restaurant setting was fabulous. The beach was beautiful.

For a long stay the menu doesn’t change and you are a long way out of Port Douglas to just drive in for a drink or meal. The shower was very fiddly to get the right temperature and there was very little water pressure.

"Gorgeous lodge, embracing nature to full, with very helpful happy passionate staff."

9.0

Very beautiful peaceful spot, embracing nature to the full. Attended nature walk, coconut talk & star gazing - each member of staff was passionate & very knowledgeable about their topic which made them all well worth attending. Pool & oak beach gorgeous. Buggies transfer around resort were very easily available. Reception staff very helpful regarding local knowledge re reef trips. Restaurant food very good too.

For 3 night stay we were only given one set of toiletries which seemed tight for 2 of us/ what we paid! Wasn’t as if resort was full! Also asked for daily housekeeping, which didn’t happen!

The views from both the room and the restaurant were beautiful. The staff were all really friendly. We did a nature walk with Dave one morning which was lovely and very informative.

The food at the restaurant is quite expensive but was very tasty. The room and furniture is a little outdated but still practical. I would just prefer a little more pressure in the shower

"Relaxation in nature😁"

10.0

First class. Stunning location and accommodation blends into the environment. Very comfortable and clean. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. The wildlife tour was excellent.

The pool is lovely but no changing rooms - odd as it is in the main building, away from the accomodation.

"Very relaxing"

Staff were very nice. Pool nice.

Bed a bit soft for our liking but this is a personal thing A bit far from downtown Port Douglas. We had a car but alternatives would have been difficult.

"Like a luxury wildlife spa!"

9.0

Very spacious grounds with lovely natural layout. Plenty of space between the villas. Lovely natural design to the pools with rocks and waterfalls. Lots of space to walk and wander. Nice beaches to visit with loungers and hammocks. We saw more wildlife here than in the Daintree forest! The room was high quality and spacious with comfortable beds. Nice modern clean bathroom. Lovely views from the main restaurant and lounge areas. Good food in the restaurant. Huge portions! Really helpful staff. We felt relaxed after we’d left - like we’d had a spa break!

These are minor issues but might have been bigger issues if we’d stayed longer. We had a 2 bedroom villa. There was no hanging space or mirror in the 2nd bedroom. Also there was no indoor communal seating area. We could have done with a second bathroom - or at least a second toilet. You need to be prepared for little visitors outside and in the restaurant. We saw lots of geckos, a stick insect, a mouse a frog and even a snake! Insects were a little annoying at dinner - including mosquitos. Could have had some citronella candles burning at the tables to keep them away from the food and tables.
