Hot tub hols in lodge with roof terrace

Spacious well laid out lodge, clean and well equiped. Loved the homely decorative touches,, great selection of games and box of children's toys Hot tub was enjoyed by all guests. Great welcome pack of wine, biscuits, chocolates and assorted tea coffee sachets

Miss communication around access and keysafe code. Issue with heating meant we were cold on the first night, however owner sorted the problem promptly .

The lodge was in a great location with lots of activities to do on site. The place offered a clean, warm space with enough room for 6 people comfortably.

The hot tub wasn't usable from the moment we arrived on the Friday to late evening on Sunday which was very disappointing given this was the only reason we chose this lodge. There was an error code and as a result the water temperature was 21C and dropping. We had been in touch with the owner, when we identified the error/the low temperature on the hot tub, who was helpful at the time but it was very frustrating to then be informed that the hot tub, after we had tried to fix the error code on the Saturday morning (on the guidance/direction given from the owner) would not be looked at until first thing Sunday morning. Sunday morning came and we saw noone until 12pm from the hot tub company, and no contact until after 12pm from the owner. After one further follow-up visit 30-40 mins later the issue had resolved however the the engineer advised the hot tub would not be accessible until at least 8pm, as the temperature needed to increase from 19C to 40C. Very annoying and disappointing given we were leaving at 10am the following morning. Jets too weren't fully working which appears to be a common theme on other reviews so if you book check with the owner the hot tub is fully working and usable. Not that many utensils to help when cooking nor were there enough oven trays which is problematic when cooking for 6 people. Roof top seating area needed a good clean and the stairway needs replacement hazard strips. Would highly recommend the stairs/flooring and chairs to be cleaned (remove the dirty rags from steps) and re-apply fresh hazard strips.
