Prime Surfers Bungalow

Die Bungalows sind sehr ruhig gelegen, der Garten wird mit Liebe gepflegt und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Bungalows sind von innen leider etwas dunkel, aber ansonsten perfekt ausgestattet.

Very nice place, close to the beach and not crowded. Surfing point is not working there, but there is another one 1km away (Pottuvil point).

The light was not strong enough. It was kinda dark inside the bungalow. Stronger bulbs would be perfect. Going to arugam bay on a daily basis would be quite expensive with a Tuktuk.

Ruhig gelegenes Bungalow in kleiner Anlage mit chilliger Terrasse. Einfach, aber sehr ordentlich. Nettes Frühstück mit Obst und Toast. Sehr familiärer und auskunftsfreudiger Manager.

Etwas abseits gelegen, es können aber Roller gemietet werden. Räume sehr dunkel.

The bungalows are all placed around a wonderful garden, which is very well taken care of from the staff. The bungalows are simple, but very nice and well equipped with fridge. The bathroom is open to the outside and offers a nice experience!

The down side is actually the location since the property is a bit too far from the beach and it can be quite challenging to walk in the sun (especially with kids). Also there is no restaurant on site but luckily there are a few other places in the neighborhood where you can have lunch and dinner.

Llevando casi un mes en Sri Lanka, nos sorprendió lo limpio y cuidado que encontramos todo(tanto el bungalow como el jardín y las instalaciones). No tenia agua caliente pero no hizo falta porque era agradable tener agua fresquita. Cada bungalow tiene una zona de chill out fuera con cama y sillón muy bonita para estar en la noche cuando refresca. El señor que vive allí nos atendió en todo momento y el desayuno era muy completo, sano y rico.

Se nos averió la cisterna del baño, lo comunicamos y el hombre se preocupó e intentó arreglarlo aunque no pudo. Pero se molestó en solucionarlo e incluso nos dio la posibilidad de cambiar de bungalow.

Richard es un crack! Te aconseja en todo momento sobre actividades y restaurantes. Nos recomendó el safari por el lago y fue todo un acierto. Nos alojamos 3 días y nos sirvió 3 desayunos diferentes, comida local preparada por él mismo. El alojamiento es perfecto, alejado del bullicio de Arugam Bay y muy cerca de Whisky beach. Íbamos andando. Tienes cerca Pottuvil Point, una derecha pequeña y divertida sin el agobio de Arugam. La cabaña tiene mucho encanto, con aire acondicionado y ventilador. El baño al aire libre con ducha doble es un puntazo.

The bungalows were very attractive, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. I loved the indoor/outdoor nature of the bathrooms too. The gentleman, Richard, who manages the property was incredibly kind and accommodating. He has lived in the area for a number of years and was able to answer all of our questions. He gave us recommendations for places to eat, arranged tuk-tuks for us (Suresh ~ who we then used every day for the rest of our stay) and organised surfing lessons for us. The garden is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Whilst predominantly a place for surfers, due to the many breaks in the area, Pothuvil Point is a beautiful beach, very nearby, where you can swim. It also has a great cafe (Mohamed’s cafe) where you can get food, arrange a lagoon safari and rent boards. The lagoon safari was one of the highlights of our whole trip to Sri Lanka. We had a glorious stay and I would not hesitate to recommend Prime Surfers.

This is not a criticism ~ but it is quite remote. If you are looking for busy nightlife, then this isn’t the place for you. You can get a tuk-tuk into Aragum Bay which was about a £20 round trip. Worth it for different food options and to check out the beach (you can also swim in the bay too). But we just loved the beauty and peace of Prime Surfers and Pothuvil Point.

Kaum Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder Restaurants. Sobald es dunkel wurde, hat man im Bad nichts mehr gesehen (sehr bedecktes Licht aufgrund fehlendem Fliegennetz bei offenem Dach)

We had a wonderful stay! Really relaxed vibe, with a super helpful staff, delicious breakfast and clean room with comfy beds! We would come back again for sure! 😊
