Mis hijas disfrutaron bastante, la comida es rica y variada, las piscinas son muy buenas para los niños.

Algunos de los shows no son familiares, a pesar de tener nombre de show para niños.

"Major Upgrade Neededd!"

6.0

The entire complex need a major renovation. The air vents in the rooms and public areas are disgustedly dirty making the air that you breathe unhealthy. Also, the à la carte restaurants were very poor with the exception the Aquamarine where the food was excellent!! The common floor areas around the pools are extremely slippery and very easy to slip and get seriously hurt. We’ve stayed at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana, Ambar and were always extremely satisfied. Do I recommend the property, hell no. I guess the Hyatt company (property owners) will need to pump in some serious dollars if they want to attract more guests!

"Estada bem prazerosa, pessoal bem atencioso, comida e comodidades acima das expectativas."

8.0

Mesas do restaurante principal desgastadas.

"Fantastic holiday"

10.0

This was booked last minute due to trip to Thailand being cancelled. I was worried as I don’t enjoy all inclusive resort holidays but what an Absolutely fantastic resort, many many restaurants, fab beach, gym and activities. The best thing was the staff, very attentive and welcoming. I wouldn’t go here without children, but that’s a personal preference. The Dominican Republic is beautiful with wonderful people.

"Sol, descanso y felicidad."

10.0

Excelente.

Todo es perfecto

"Way overrated and it will cost you!"

2.0

I took my family there for a week on a last minute basis. I have been to Punta Cana before. It was a disaster from the very beginning. We were given an inferior room with a broken bed and not enough linens for our party of four. This despite the fact we paid for the most expensive room they had- one facing the castle (which is the main reason we chose this place--all for the kids). Yes, they transferred us to a better room the next day as they were totally booked when we arrived. The credit we got for our inconvenience of having had our first night there wasted through their fault was less than promised. This hotel is definitely overrated, and in the end becomes pricier than the true 5 star resorts there in Punta Cana. This is all because of the lure of the Disney-like castle (which other than aesthetics provides no other use for its guests) which is in the middle of the pool area. Big is not always better and this hotel proves it. This particular hotel is part of a mega-complex with about 6 other hotels. You and your party are supposed to stay and use the facilities only at your own hotel. They might claim you have access to the restaurants at the other hotels in their mega-complex, but that is if you make a reservation (and they are not guaranteed). That reservation is made through a sommelier you have established a relationship with-which comes after spending money on overpriced wines-because the house wine is an awful red and white which tastes like cooking wine. Their alcohol selection is limited and not all that great for an all-inclusive. The food quality is not all that great, either; even at there reservation-only restaurants in their mega-complex. Ironically, the buffet restaurant at this hotel was better than a number of the reservation-only restaurants we experienced their and at the other hotels. One needs to be careful also with salesmen from the hotel selling you everything from outside excursions to the equivalent of a "vacation time-share". Yes, this hotel and the entire mega-complex is adept at making you spend big-time despite you being at a a purported "all-inclusive". By the way, the entertainment poolside and throughout the hotel in terms of music leaves a lot to be desired. Talking about poolside, they close their pools and jacuzzis at 6 pm. If you stay there till then, and afterwards go to your room to shower and prepare to go to dinner, by the time you get to dinner and are done with it, their nightly entertainment would have been over. Conversely, if you go enjoy the nightly entertainment you will definitely skip out on dinner, especially at any of their reservations-only restaurants throughout their mega-complex. It is as if everything has been done by design so you have to spend money here-and-there whether for better food, alcohol, and entertainment. The best entertainment is actually at what they call "el pueblito", which is at the entrance to their mega-complex property. There you will have to pay to go in and see a premium act on stage. And beware of their dance club there at "el pueblito" as I noticed "unsavory-looking" locals who apparently had been allowed to slip-in, possibly for targeting the hotel/resort guests. I could go on-and-on but let me say that after a few days at this hotel, I started missing the other truly great hotels and resorts in Punta Cana. I plan to return soon to Punta Cana with my family, but you better believe it will not be to this hotel or any other in its mega-complex (which includes La Turquesa, Gran Punta Cana, Esmeralda, and Ambar) as they all seem to operate in the same way from what I could see in visiting the other hotels. In closing, Punta Cana and the people at the Dominican Republic are wonderful. Plan your vacation carefully.
