View and good location, courteous staff

Visited this property after spending 2 nights at Grand Madurai and was surprisingly let down by GRT standards on this one. The over all room look and feel, the amenities were just average for the price you pay. The only good thing was the restaurant staff who were really approachable and provided great service. Number of things were lead to a bad experience at Great Trials Thanjavur… 1. The rooms are called Divine Darshan but the staff have no clue of what’s happening at the temples nearby and how they can help the customers. 2. The room facilities are as good as a usual homestay- absolutely nothing exclusive and worth the price you pay… Fans dont work but they are there in the room, AC works only in some parts of the room, TV is the worst does not even connect to wifi and there are mosquitos in the room. Just one light works in the room. Really a big drop in terms of the overall facilities compared to other GRT properties (Comparing to the GRT Yercaud and Madurai). 3. Food - basic fried rice and chicken manchurian was so not made well. Coffee and snacks were sub par. Dint enjoy the taste at all. Really disappointed with the overall experience with this particular GRT property. Considering they have such excellent facilities and services in other places for similar price ranges wonder how they missed the mark on this one. Kindly make note of this and help improve this property, as location wise its really good.

bird watching by the river with evening tea, vadai and sundal was heavenly. Staffs also very friendly and helpful. they helped us in arranging our temple darshan. My kids liked the spa and the big swimming pool.

dinner buffet could have had more healthier options. Mosquitoes menace
