Forest Lodge Log Cabin - Ireland

Beautiful property- a rare find in Ireland, really well-built, lovely furniture and peaceful. Nice sitting on the covered balcony.

There have been ongoing issues with the drinking water. Some more bottled water should be supplied, especially given that the location is so isolated. We would have liked to do more walking in the area but no clear route along the river.

A little bit strange being asked to bring towels. Also it has been a long time since i have been asked to pay for electricity costs at a rental

Perfect for a screen free family getaway. Our boys (5) and (3) had the best time exploring the nature outside collecting pine cones. Cabin was really comfortable and clean.We Bbq'd both nights as the weather was so nice. Fully stocked kitchen equipment, so we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend it. We can't wait to come back!

Would have liked to sit outside longer in the evenings, but it was so shaded it made it too cold.

The bathrooms didn't work properly and no WiFi and no TV channels at all.

Absolutely lovely cabin and maintained to a really high standard. The host was really helpful with any questions or queries. Really good spot if you want to get away. Close to Ballyconnell town, which has plenty of amenities, ranging from supermarkets, pubs, and food options. Also a taxi service if required.

It was cold when we arrived and the heating took a few hours to warm the place. But it was February when we visited so it can be expected. Tips. The water isn't drinkable, so do bring your own. The heaters use a lot of electricity, so keep an eye on the electricity meter. The host did provide a top-up code, which was much appreciated, and we had no problems. Limited Internet may bother other visitors, but we went there to get away, so it wasn't an issue.
