Forest Lodge Log Cabin - Ireland

The cabin is really beautiful. The decor inside is lovely and there is really good space for 6 people. The appliances worked well and there were good extras, supply of DVDs and some books which our kids enjoyed. The jacuzzi bath was popular with our kids. The views from the balcony and veranda were lovely and the little extra electric lights and candles were very atmospheric. The gas stove was a nice touch. The owner was very responsive to any questions I asked.

While the house is beautiful there are a few minor issues which are easy fixes. The house is lacking in some basic items. Families really need a washing machine if no towels are being supplied. There was no microwave and some kitchen utensils were in short supply. There was only one egg cup and five forks, no oven mitt and not enough trivets/ chopping boards. I think a welcome folder with basic information on local amenities, how to use appliances, doctors numbers etc. is really important for families and wouldn't be difficult to put together. Some cleaning had been omitted e.g the kitchen bin was half full of someone else's waste. The BBQ hadn't been cleaned by previous occupants and someone had placed a disposable BBQ on top of it.

It was stunning. All the little finishing touches were beautiful. Myself my husband and 3 daughters (aged 10,7 and 6 months) had the most relaxing time here. Sitting on the porch was my highlight. I loved that there was no WiFi so kids played outside or played board games. Will be booking again.
