Mirador Valle de la Tatacoa

We had such a lovely and laidback time. If you want the full desert experience with nothing but nature around you, you are at the right place. José was a really friendly, funny and generous host. The place is beautiful, the cabaña was comfortable and clean, the food delicious and we couldn't have wished for anything more. My recommendation would be: stay more than one night ;) it's worth it ¡Muchisimas gracias!

height of the house is at most 1,85 and also a warning due to the heavy winds and the clothes line would have been useful.

nothing I didn’t like — if you want to travel around Tatacoa, I suggest renting a car or moto because taking tuktuks or Mototaxi every day is expensive.

Beautiful location right next to the grey desert entrance point. Excellent comfort in the wilderness. Mosquito nets and super comfort beds, powerful shower, very clean toilets. The owner cooks brilliant food for a reasonable price. Felt like home!

The place has a very nice view and is surrounded by nature. The owner is a very good cook and offers vegetarian options, too. There are two Bikes you can rent for 20.000 a day. Its near the Pool, which is pretty nice for the hot days. The Ranch has everything you need (water, Snacks....) and the owners are very kind. Overall we enjoyed our stay, even though it was more expencive than we anticipated. (- buying water, food, transportation...But maybe that's just the way it is in the desert)

AMAZING PLACE! We cannot fault our stay one bit - the owners of this place are so friendly and hospitable and Juan (I think that is his name - sorry!) had a real great sense of humour! Both owners are welcoming, nothing was too much, amazing food and a bargain for where we were! This place is right within the grey desert - we stayed in a cabin that overlooked the whole of the desert, the views were epic. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoyed every meal! The portions were huge and very tasty. Comfortable bed and pillows, clean rooms, clean toilets and showers. We forgot to get enough cash out in Villvieja but the lady let us go back and get the cash before we left, and put everything on a tab for us. The location is a bit further than the red desert but that's what makes it so peaceful. It isn't hard to get around as you can grab a ride easily. We also hired bikes from here which were great. We highly recommend this place - it's so peaceful and accommodating. Gracias amigos!!

A remote, peaceful place. Felt a bit deserted when we got in but in the end, it turned out to be a great choice. Very helpful staff and tasty breakfasts. If you have a car, this would be top pick in Tatacoa. But do not expect a hotel.

we loved our stay here. Jose and his wife were the perfect hosts. the location is amazing and you can do walks from the door. the restaurant also provides delicious great value meals. highly recommended.
