Beautiful cabin, hot shower, overall great stay, lots of animals nearby

No WiFi in the room, more information on the hiking trails would have been welcomed

Excellent location for a stop over between SJO airport and Puerto Veijo. The accomodations were beautiful - comfortable, clean and meticulously maintained. Wonderful breakfasts and delcious dinners.

There was absolutely nothing that could have been approved upon. Loved it! Thank you so much Jorge and daughter Camille!

Not the easiest accessible location but once found you meet a super friendly host and nicely designed bungalows literally in the middle of nature

The breakfast was delicias. We felt right at home here. The care and attention to detail with the construction if the cabins added to the charm of this special place. We will definitely visit again. Very nice walking trail close to the river!

We loved the place, the quietness and the animals surrounding us, the sound of the jungle in the night, the breakfast and the very nice host!

Tastefully designed accommodation in remote countryside. Straight of a house and gardens type magazine. Sloth in a tree! Hot water. Good (essential ) mossie net. Excellent breakfast. No good if you don’t like bugs! All power from a turbine in the stream!

Nothing. It was great! You need a 4 wheel drive to get to it.

Our host family was super friendly and caring. The breakfast was very delicious. We saw squirrels, frogs, bats and a lot of birds like tucan and hummingbird. The sound of the forest was incredible.

The location is surprising - away from everything, but still good to reach. It takes patience to drive the final kilometer to Poponé farm as the road is rather pebbles and rock than gravel. The reward for the effort is to meet Jorje and his family. They had built the cabins two years ago, with no luxury, but all it takes: electric plugs near bed and chairs, a board for trousers and shirts, a well working shower, a seating area that leaves no wish open. At night you hear many species of birds and monkeys - but nearly no mosquitos! Jorge and his wife are able to recommend day trips of any kind in the neighborhood, what ever we asked. He calls people beforehand to make sure everything is available. We even made a day trip to the Caribbean Sea - 2:45 hrs drive to Cahuita. As soon as Route 32 will be finished the time will drop to 2 hrs. Good restaurants in the neighborhood village, 8-10 min by car. Best comes last: the breakfast is a great event - freshest froot from the farm, pancakes, omelets, scrambled eggs - you tell a wish!

Even though mentioned here: we loved our little hideway without WIFI and with a very low phone signal... :-)
