Matina Mountain Resort

The staff were very friendly.Rooms are spacious and beds very comfy with a great view. Loved how we could have breakfast sent to our room every morning. It was also a nice to know they clean their air conditioners we got back while they were finishing making our room up to find them checking the filters.

My partner and I both got food poisoning on the first day from the breakfast, which was such a shame as we had managed 2 months of travelling without getting sick up until this. We also had just travelled 20 hours to get there and it was the first thing we ate so it’s impossible for it to have been anything else, other than the breakfast to make us sick. Additionally, it would’ve been nice for a shuttle to run every few hours to take up and down the hill like some of the other resorts had, as it can be a very tiring hill to walk up in the intense heat. It is ideal if you have a motorbike, but if, like us, you don’t drive motorbikes, it’s more difficult.

Le logement est au calme, on entend les oiseaux. La vuevest agréable et permet de profiter d'un beau couche de soleil. Le personnel est vraiment gentil et accueillant, se donnant les moyens de nous faire passer un bon séjour. Piscine très propre, service du petit déjeuner en chambre, ménage et changement du linge de toilette chaque jour.

Le petit déjeuner n'est pas de qualité, de type industriel hormis les fruits. Un parasol serait nécessaire pour profiter de la terrasse plein sud en cette saison mais nous avons vu que d'autres logements en avait.

Uns hat die Lage gut gefallen. Bis zur belebten Ecke auf Koh Tao waren es 15 min zu Fuss. Die Unterkunft war so sehr schön ruhig. Der Weg zum Hotel hat allerdings eine ordentliche Steigung Frühstück war ok.

Leider hatten wir uns viel mehr versprochen von der Unterkunft. Auf den Bildern sah alles viel schöner aus. Vllt hatten wir auch eine alte Villa? Das Zimmer war sehr lieblos eingerichtet, das Bad einfach wie eine Waschküche- keine Abstellmöglichkeiten. Das Bett und die Möbel abgewohnt! Das Zimmer leicht verdreckt, vom Balkon aus hatten wir Sicht aus eine Baustelle und auf der anderen Seite die Sicht auf den Müllplatz. Wir sind ehrlich enttäuscht und würde nicht wiederkommen. An den Wänden klebte an 3 Stellen Paketklebeband.

El personal es de 10, atentos absolutamente en todo, lugar tranquilo y cerca del centro, las mejores vistas para ver el atardecer.

Nice new room, views to coast, quiet - no sound of mental mopeds disturbing the peace. Swimming pool was a must. Staff were super helpful

Bit of an uphill hike from the main drag, but the hotel has its’ own free pickup and drop off, and otherwise, we hired a moped from the hotel.
