Elies Resorts

The staff were amazing, so friendly, professional and attentive. Particularly Giannis, Valentis, George, Nikos all by the pool, breakfast and bar. They made us feel so special and it was clear they got enjoyment out of seeing their guests happy. Great spa and had amazing massages. Amazing breakfasts too!

I do not pay upfront a significant amount of money, only to find that when I arrive the room is not what I booked. After repeated calls and visits to the front desk they "managed" to find another room miraculously on the spot. The initial response was "we are sorry but the hotel is at full capacity and we cannot change the room". When we asked why they did not have the room that we payed for and booked though the website, the idiotic response was (verbatim) : "You are right, but we should note that the pictures in the website are just indicative". So, the clients pay large sums of money and hope for the best or enter a lottery draw and If they are actually lucky, they get what they paid for. In general, the staff was helpful and polite with some annoying exceptions such as the guy at the gate who asked for a name and room number again and again and was not opening the gate for us to let us in for some incomprehensible reason (the young moron, not the grey- haired gentleman who was always extremely polite and was doing his job outstandingly at the gate). I did not know I would need a security clearance to go in the resort, or that I was about to enter the White House presumably. The front desk gentleman with glasses was always extremely polite and accommodating and immediately resolved the issues that arose and also helped us with a late checkout that we asked since the ferry was leaving later in the afternoon. Overall though, a disappointing experience. I would not book accommodation at this hotel here of course. It is too bad for most of the staff that are actually genuinely affable and kind and try to their job with professionalism and altruism. However, one would book a 5 star resort to have some quality time, relax, rest and not have to be preoccupied with inconsequential absurdities that ruin the whole experience.

Exceptional place and exceptional service. Elies is very special! The hotel is maintained to an excellent standard and what stood out above all was the exceptional service! The staff were each and every one, attentive to our every need. Thank you to all of the staff at Elies. Also, the sea water swimming pool is fabulous and the breakfast excellent. A place we would love to return to!!

Wonderful resort. Loved the staff and the scenery. It was so kind of the chef to give us a delicious packed breakfast to take on our early ferry. The walk along the stunning and protected beach to the local tavernas was lovely if you wanted a change from the hotel restaurant. Would highly recommend if you want luxury in Sifnos!

All staff were excellent. Also the room was excellent. The beach was the nicest on the island. Everything was fantastic except for some mold issues in a few areas.

The only problem was a musty mold smell in the reception area. Also visible mold on the pool bar white awnings which need bleach and a power wash. For people with a mold allergy these areas will be a real problem. Hopefully the hotel will renovate the reception roof and wall areas. There is no visible mold but the mold is definitely behind the walls and or ceiling.

Breakfast was incredible, either in your room or at the restaurant.

We wanted snorkels and ended having to buy some at the market and then leave them when we left. If they had snorkels to rent!!!
