The property was stunning, and we were fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights.

We arrived just before 7 p.m. after a drive that took twice as long due to severe weather. The welcome wasn’t exactly warm. After hearing my name, the first comment was about us missing our dinner reservation. I had sent an email from the road to notify them of our delay, but it must have gotten lost in a dead zone and never went through. The restaurant menu didn't offer any vegetarian options, but the chef kindly came out to suggest alternatives. We chose two dishes, but they never arrived. Instead, we were continually served items we hadn’t ordered and didn’t particularly enjoy. They brought out two of everything, and each item was added to our bill. When asked if we wanted dessert, my travel companion chose something (I passed), but we were both given something completely different from what had been ordered, and we were both charged for that as well. We mentioned the mistake, but it seemed to go unnoticed. The cabin’s temperature control was a challenge. Despite our efforts to adjust it, the room remained cold, and the provided heating unit was broken. With separate rooms, it was even more difficult to get warm. I even considered checking out early and cutting my losses, but thankfully, it was better the next day. Basic amenities were also lacking, there were no napkins or paper towels, so we had to make do with a spare roll of toilet paper until we could get to the market. The bathroom had no usable outlet, except one high up near the ceiling, right next to the pipes, completely inaccessible unless you were 7 feet tall or willing to risk standing on the toilet or a chair. The other outlets were on the floor in separate rooms, with no mirrors, making it a pain to get ready. Finally, when it was time to check out, the heavy snowfall from the previous night hadn’t been cleared. The steps and road around our cabin were neither shoveled nor plowed, so we had to trudge through deep snow with our luggage, up the stairs and hill to our car.

This is the second time we have stayed here and we love it very much. Everything is wonderful

Absolutely stunning property, the cabin was very warm and had everything you need, the views were spectacular and we even saw the Northern lights 2 days in a row, highly recommended!
