Lovely scenery around the hut, very close to town and the park and ride. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the booklet inside the hut is a great idea to lhelp with everything you need for your stay.

I loved the lake and the wildlife that surrounded it. Especially when I saw a heron in the morning and heard a peacock calling at night. The baby moorhen was so cute also. I really enjoyed the peacefulness and the serenity. The hut itself was fab the outdoor porch lights and dimmer switches were amazing. Plenty of storage for belongings!! The fridge/ freezer was super handy and the cooker and hob. The shower was fantastic. Plenty of plug sockets to charge things/plug things in. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Milk and Malteasers left by staff (our fave chocolate) staff were so welcoming and friendly. Sam helped us with our luggage to the hut in the cart which really helped as we over packed and were worried we’d have to carry it all. Loved walking past the plant gardens and we even had beautiful plant pots right outside the hut. Lockbox present so you could lock your hut up safely and securely when going out for the day. Water features and lights surrounding the lake were amazing. Delight to come back to after a busy day in town. Huts were shaded by beautiful oak trees so during the heatwave we stayed cool. Blinds inside the hut were brilliant so we could remain private but keep the windows open and the hut cool. Hut was decorated to a fantastic standard. Will recommend to friends and family and only a 15-20 min drive into York town.

The outdoor seating wasn’t quite suitable for a larger bum but remedied with a camping chair I bought. The bed was a single that pulled into a double so sadly the mattresses had to be two singles (can’t be helped) which meant you felt quite separate to your partner. I wish they were thicker and foamier as my partner suffers with his back and they were slightly springy and not comfy.

So peaceful and property was really cosy, only stayed for 2 nights but could of stayed the full 2 weeks for my holidays

Such a cute little hut, equipped with everything you could need! Super clean and comfy and the hosts were so welcoming and lovely.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Sweet Pea shepherds hut, in beautiful surroundings. It was lovely to sit & have morning coffee overlooking the lake or relax in the evening in such peaceful place.

We did bump into the corners of the bathroom sink on a number of occasions!

Great location beautiful view peaceful clean.

Nothing I didn't like would've liked some comfier chairs outside other than that it was perfect
