Luxury Shepherds Hut - The Sweet Pea by the lake

The hut was fully equipped with everything you need for your stay, very clean and lovely decor. Full of beautiful scenery all around. Warm welcoming by staff when arrived and helped with our luggage

Fantastic hosts, friendly and helpful. The hut was first class, everything was perfect, comfortable and peaceful, could not fault it. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Everything!! The staff were so welcoming & really took care of us. Walking us and wheeling our belongs to the hut. The view over the lake is beautiful and so peaceful. Proper relaxing spot. Hut had Everything we needed, bed, shower/toilet and small kitchen, but the staff went the extra mile- by providing fold our table and chairs for in hut, spare cushions for seats. Milk in the fridge for tea & coffee, oven to be able to cook, even salt & Pepper. Such a lovely walk round the pond & round other parts of the property you could visit their cows & horses. Such a wonderful treat. Such a wonderful service & place- Everything thought of x Highly recommend and we plan to come back soon.

Bed was very uncomfortable.. didn't seem like had mattress on there.. felt like sleep on boards.

The location was wonderful, very quiet and peaceful as it is not near any main roads. The view of the lake was amazing from the hut and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Another bonus of the location is how close it is to York city centre.

Beautiful little place staff were very welcoming we booked the sweetpea But ended up in the moorhen for some reason, I believe both huts are the same in specifications, hut was done to a very high standard throughout very impressed with the quality of the build bathroom is amazing kitchen facilities are great Was lovely & warm too .

Unfortunately the bed which I think in a hut is the most important thing had been overlooked , the mattress where exactly thin very uncomfortable , in my opinion this should be where the improvements should be made. if I was going to return the mattresses would have to be upgraded substantially , I also found blood on the mattress topper & it really put me off that no attempt to clean this had been mad amazing weekend never the less , you make it what it is & we had a fabulous weekend despite the bed , host's where amazing , if the host's spend on mattres upgrades this place would be top knotch & we'd definitely stay again .

Our second stay here, we absolutely love it, our peaceful and happy place! It will be a yearly stay. Everything you need in a cute and cosy little hut, the lake and surroundings are beautiful, the team are super friendly and always waving when we walk by which we find so lovely. We 100% recommend this accommodation!
