The Lunar Ray

It was warm comfortable and clean. It had a decent shower, good WIFI and good range of cooking utensils. The bed was comfortable and bedding was lovely and clean. Huge TV for those rainy evenings. Comfy sofa and pleasantly furnished😘. Hot tub was just the right temperature. The host was excellent

You do back right onto the A4 which means there is road noise - but to be honest we learned to ignore it and didn’t really affect our sleep.

Great location for exploring Northumberland and Newcastle. Situated right next to the brilliant Northumberland Zoo. My kids (aged 8 and 10) would have scored the stay as a 10 as they had a brilliant time. They particularly loved the arcades in the Crazy Horse. Nice grounds. The play park was good too. Cabin thoughtfully decorated with lots of positive affirmations. Bed was comfy and liked the padded walls in the bedrooms which softened the room. Shower coverage was good. My sons have asked to visit again.

Situated directly off A1, so the advice on earplugs is good for those who might be bothered and like a lie in. The road didn’t really get too noisy until rush hour, so shouldn’t bother early risers too much. Worth also checking for planned roadworks and, if scheduled, contacting the Highway department to ask if they plan to be outside the park through the night. Not the owners fault and I would imagine not a common occurrence. Though main living area appeared clean, cleaning could be improved elsewhere, eg drawers, bathrooms and pots, light switches and pans. Hot tub was a nice big size, but did not have the power needed for the best effect.

check maintenance of the property as toilets didn't flush very well and maybe use a storage box to store items that cluttered up the wardrobes.
