Riverwood Farms Shepherds Hut

The location is stunning, beautifully positioned in the trees for peace & tranquillity. The whole shepherds hut was nicely laid out, very comfortable and every need was catered for. The hot tub was a bonus plus the barbeque area, hammock and well maintained lawns. Communication with the owners was superb and nothing was too much trouble.

We struggled initially to find the signs for Riverwood - Satnav only worked so far, but after badgering the locals we found it.

Absolutely lovely. Inside every thing you could wish for. Underfloor heating and absolute noon. Soo much outdoor space for my dog. She loved it.

It doesn’t get direct sunshine at this time of the year, so unable to use hot tub. The underfloor heating was excellent but I had to bring in a big fleece blanket as too late to work out wood burner .

Wonderful location, it felt like we were in the middle of no where away from it all.

Beautiful secluded location. Everything we needed was there, including a really well-equipped kitchen, given the space. It was so lovely to sit a look at the stars from the decking, miles away from any street lights.

Clean and modern hut, well-maintained. The hosts are very responsive and helped with loud neighbours late in the evening. It was very sweet that there a bottle of bubbly was waiting for us in the fridge. Especially because we celebrated a birthday. Beware that there is no mobile signal in the forest (you can only get through the Internet, which is in your hut. The internet is fast, no problems with it at all). Keep in mind that only one bag of logs is clued in the price. The bag is £6. You can pay in cash on the spot or via bank transfer. I recommend this place for a vacation with children or as a romantic escape. A very pleasant shepherds hut!

We were unlucky with a big party next to us. There was loud music all Saturday and till late night. We expected to see some wild life, but not to listen to party animals 😂.But I guess it doesn’t happen often. So apart from that everything was just perfect.
