Malgudi Farms

The location exceeded our expectations, nestled in nature with a charming village ambiance—an ideal spot for spending quality time with friends and family. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff exhibited great cooperation and hospitality. Our culinary experience was delightful, with a sumptuous South Indian lunch and a flavorsome North Indian dinner. All the dishes were delicious and satisfying. The property boasts a variety of farm animals, including rabbits, bulls, ducks, parrots, and more. Watching these animals proved to be an enjoyable pastime for the kids. Additionally, the property was adorned with tasteful lighting arrangements, creating a captivating atmosphere throughout the night. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that added to the charm of our stay.

The ongoing construction activity in the vicinity needs to be completed as soon as possible. Some of the animal shelters require maintenance, and considering the vastness of the property, maintaining cleanliness poses a challenge. While the property was generally clean with no visible litter, it is advisable to augment the housekeeping staff to ensure regular outdoor cleaning. Allocating resources for the maintenance of animal shelters is essential to enhance the overall experience for guests.

Its a 7 acre sapodilla farm in the outskirts of Bangalore, so if you're looking for a pet-friendly remote place for digital detox, this could be a good place. There are two types of accommodations - row-rooms with AC, and independent cottages with fans. We chose two cottages, and our pet dog had a wonderful time roaming around leash-free and eating sapodillas! The farm also has some animals (some in cages) - donkeys, goats, goose, rabbits, birds, a fun macaw and their dogs and cows. Breakfast is complementary, and lunch & dinner felt very home made and fresh, with some good options. The village theme of the property was amazing, and overall we had a good time.

Some parts of the property could have been maintained more properly - like the grass lawns could have been mowed, the reception area & fountain could use some cleanup. The farm could have had some swings, swimming pool & kid activity areas instead of the limited options of a ping-pong table and a carrom board. The per-head price for lunch & dinner was a little steep (INR 400), considering the limited options and no alternative restaurant options near by.

Food

I think they are not going for pesticide treatment due to which lots and lots of mosquitoes are there. Even snakes are there They should add more lights for safety. And need to work on cleanliness of the area.

Facility, Food was good

Pet friendly, so beware as many owners leave their pets in open. AC was not working in my room. Complained but couldn’t get rectified.
