"Amazing stay fantastic views 10/10 property"

Couldn’t recommend this property enough ! An amazing stay so clean warm cosy amazing location exactly what we needed. This is now our favourite lodge we have stayed in and will definitely be back ! The dog hamper box was a special touch ✨

Honestly could not fault this stay! Only minor things were the light in the fire cut out after about 5 minutes (but still let out heat) and the light bulb in the lamp went out on the last day however if I messaged the owner I’m sure this would have been quickly resolved but I was so happy with the stay I didn’t feel the need to address this as was still so cozy ✨

"Excellent facilities in the elite holiday caravan . Would Definetly come back."

We didn’t stay in Dobby lodge directly, we were contacted after booking with an apology that it wasn’t available and was offered a transfer into there elite holiday caravan for the same days . Easily contactable and always kept us up to date . Lovely facilities, clean and had everything we needed to cook at the property. Lovely hamper for our dog with some treats. And provided high chair as asked. Even left a birthday card as they knew it was for a birthday present, would definitely go back .

We liked the area as it was in a quiet area but close enough to drive to anywhere.

It was very warm in the lodge as hardly any windows opened. Unfortunately, we stayed in one of the three lodges, and whilst we were there, the other two lodges were getting upgraded. This made it quite noisy during the day whilst the men were working. It would have been nice to have known this in advance as we picked the site specifically because it was off the main road.

The area was fantastic. A good base from which to sightsee in the Lakes. The holiday park was fantastic. Beautifully kept. We stayed in Dobby Lodge 1 and it was very cosy. Ideal for the two of us and the dog. It had all the amenities you would need and the owners added a lovely gift basket for our dog which was a lovely touch. Had great views over Bassenthwaite. We would sit on the covered veranda with a coffee or a wine/beer after being out all day and enjoy watching the view and the wildlife. In warmer weather it'll be fantastic to have breakfast out there. Ideal.
