Quiet, modern, clean and comfy and near to Cockermouth for shops and close to the lakes and walks. Looks just as advertised. Good value for money.

We loved the homely feel of the lodge, especially how comfortable the beds were.

Due to the location of the lodge, you definitely needed a car to travel around. The site is very quiet and private, so we saw nobody during our stay, which for a family with young children may not suit, as there was nowhere to play. Our teenager was fine, as the lodge was a perfect retreat to chill and unwind.
