Dobby Lodge

The lodge and caravan park were very clean and tidy. There was everything you needed in the lodge including a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and cleaning stuff. It was cosy and the beds were super comfortable. The dog walking field and activity field were great too.

The site is quite far away from anywhere and so a shop on site would be really helpful. The website does state theres a shop but there wasnt. It would just be convenient for essentials like bread and milk etc.

Excellent base for Keswick walking holiday. Booked last week in April which was peaceful. Lodge was a real home from home. Cosy despite a cold week but good for relaxing on decking when the sun did appear. Cleanliness and facilities impressive for this type of accommodation.

Wi-Fi a bit temperamental but really for the location just to be expected.

Lovely and clean with all the extras you need.

The property was well decorated, with nice homely touches. The bathroom had a bath. Kitchen had everything you needed. Nice fresh bedding.

The terrace wasn’t a safe space for a dog, the gaps in the fence need to be closed off more as our dog escaped!

The place is quiet.

I think it’s wrong that they advertise any wifi. They mention the wifi isn’t great but that is an understatement. I really think they should just say the place doesn’t have wifi as I had to work on my first day there and was unable to which meant I to leave to find a place with wifi.

Nice well put together property. Great value for money, with a secluded feel yet close to Keswick and Penrith

Really cosy lodge in a rural location, great facilities, everything you need for a short break

Beds were weirdly tall (I’m only 5”2)

Very comfortable and warm lodge, fantastic beds and sofa, wonderful staff and lovely location.

Our hot water broke down so we had a disrupted day without it and then had to move lodge. However the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the new lodge was excellent. The kitchen sink is an unfortunate design (water goes everywhere) but this is a detail that didn't affect a wonderful week!

The location and it was comfortable and clean

There was not enough ventilation in twin bedroom - window could not be opened. Only small fan in bathroom which was inadequate - no handles or slip guard for bath. Not enough storage in twin bedroom - there could have been drawers under the beds. No where to hang towels after showers. WIFI poor
