I had a wonderful stay at Vedic Dham Hotel for a day. The hotel's location at the Ganga Ghat made the experience truly serene and peaceful. The staff was extremely courteous and welcoming, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. One of the highlights was the purely Satvic food, which was not only delicious but also felt nourishing and wholesome. I had the most incredible experience staying at Vedic Dham in Rishikesh! From the moment I arrived, the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere enveloped me. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making sure we felt at home. The accommodation was comfortable, with a serene ambiance perfect for relaxation after a day of yoga and exploring the area. The yoga classes were top-notch, with expert instructors who really helped me improve my practice. The wellness offerings, including Ayurvedic treatments and the beautiful Ganga view, made my stay even more rejuvenating. I also enjoyed the delicious vegetarian meals at their Vedic Bhojanalay restaurant – so healthy and flavorful! The peaceful surroundings and guided walking tours gave me the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the local culture. This place is mesmerizing for people who want to experience the traditional Indian way of life, the breathtaking view of Maa Ganga , private ghat and the interiors each corner thought of, the activities, yoga, meditation , sound healing , Kieran’s in this place, all I can say the vibe of the place is just right. The staff was incredibly responsive, answering all my queries regarding room preferences, river-facing views, and activity bookings. They even assisted with airport transfers and special requests, making the entire process stress-free. Overall, a smooth and professional booking experience that perfectly complemented the serene retreat awaiting me. Highly recommended for anyone planning a stay in Rishikesh! Please don’t visit if you are looking for a hotel, this place is a resort style ashram feel… for me it is a must visit and I will come back again… Thank you to the founder who made this place that one should experience if you are in Rishikesh…

Location on the Ganga

Way to expensive. You're paying for the location on the Ganga but this is bad value for money in general. The main staff member looking after us just wanted to get more money out of us with services and lied about being able to turn the hot water on (it was winter) for a shower when we wanted. I also believe he ripped us off with the price by asking for cash and claiming that the card machine didn't work. We got out early and stayed at the Hideaway. Go there instead.

The staff were courteous and the location is good.

The facility needs a lot of maintenance. Lots of broken items are unusable, like door handles, power sockets, wooden cup boards, and wooden chairs. Risk of splinters. 1. Doors are not properly sealed. Glass partitions are broken in many places through which cold air gets in. Bathroom exhausts directly vented into the room with a foul smell. No proper design and no hygiene. 2. Water pressure is very low, so to do simple hand-wash and face wash is not possible. You have to go to the desk and remind them to turn the pump many a time a day. 3. Hot water only comes for a couple of hours in the morning, and after that, if required, you have to notify them 30 min prior. and it only comes for 15 minutes. water becomes cold after that. 4. Food is served late, especially dinner which starts at 8.00 pm onwards. 5. Library access is fully blocked to allocate the property owner's friends. Not fair, considering it's a common area. To sum up, it is not a safe place for children and women who might require hot water access during cold winter days. This place is suitable only for adults who are ready to pay more to experience low quality rooms and facilty with yoga and meditation thrown in.

The location of the hotel is amazing as it is literally just off the Ganges river bank which you can access via its own private entrance. Highlight of the stay are the staff...the manager and his assistant are just the loveliest guys we met in India and went over and beyond!

The accommodation and service is all part of the Verdic culture and was refreshing. The standout feature has to be the staff especially the manager and assistant both of who were simply the best!

Better/more lighting in bedroom.

The staff were fantastic..the intimate Aarti….the Ganga ghat on the doorstep. The authentic and traditional feel of the amazing building was very special. Aman and his team took care of us and our requests and even arranged a scooter for us to enjoy the area as the Lakshmi Jhula is closed.
