- Our room was very spacious and the view from the balcony was beautiful. - The bathtub was very large - Large variety of breakfast choices, there was an omelette station as well as a crepe/waffle/french toast station - Staff were mostly very friendly

I do feel really bad giving a low rating, but I feel it's important to be honest: - We were in a "butler" room - we only requested 1 thing from our butler during the entire stay which was to replenish the mini bottle of white wine that we drank from our mini bar on the first night. We had reached out on two or three separate occasions for this and it was never done over the course of two days. - We initially booked for 5 nights but changed it to 3 nights (this change was made 2 months prior to the stay), which was confirmed by booking.com. However, upon check in, the hotel told us that in their system it still shows we are staying for 5 nights, and they charged us as such. When we asked if this could be amended and if we could get a refund, they were dismissive and unhelpful. We reached out to booking to help solve this matter and are still waiting for our refund. - Other than the breakfast buffet, the food was a disaster. Quality was very poor overall. - Quality of the drinks was very poor too, none of the cocktails tasted like they were supposed to. - There was a lack of entertainment/activities during the day and evenings - At night we were woken up at 2am by the sound of party music coming from a couple rooms below us, not the hotel's fault but if you are looking for a quiet getaway this may not be the place - At check in, one of the hotel staff kept trying to push us to book spa services. After refusing, she offered free couples massage and told us to bring our credit card and ID cards. The next morning she called the hotel room early in the morning (which woke us up) to remind us to bring our credit card and ID cards when we meet her... it all seemed a bit suspicious/pushy so we declined the offer.

We visited JOIA to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we could not have chosen a better place. From the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff is truly exceptional, always attentive, professional, and dedicated to ensuring every guest’s comfort and satisfaction. A special note of appreciation goes to Rennardo, our butler, whose outstanding service made our stay unforgettable. From beginning to end, he ensured that all our needs were met and that we were fully enjoying our time at the resort. My husband loves to sing, and wherever we travel, we always look for a karaoke venue. Unfortunately, the days we were at JOIA did not coincide with the hotel’s karaoke nights. Thanks to Rennardo’s initiative, he discovered that a nearby property was hosting karaoke and personally escorted us there so my husband could perform. His thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made a lasting impression and created a memory we will always cherish from our trip to Montego Bay. We stayed at JOIA for four days, but it simply wasn’t enough time to experience all that the resort has to offer. We wished we could have stayed longer. Everything, from the exceptional food and entertainment to the luxurious amenities and impeccable service, was beyond our expectations. We are already looking forward to returning in the future.

O Joia Hall tem o formato ideal de um ótimo Resort. Compacto com tudo que é importante para uma excelente hospedagem. Tudo perfeito. Localização excelente. Lobby exuberante. Bares excelentes. Restaurantes variados. Complexo de piscinas harmonioso. Acomodações completas, aconchegantes e limpas. A estrutura da praia é muito boa, além de praia ser naturalmente linda. As atividades e shows são de alto padrão. Os funcionários são atenciosos. Fiquei quatorze dias hospedado e tudo funcionou positivamente.

Gostei de tudo.
