NLTop verblijf, wij hadden voor de trekking de luxe huisjes, die zijn het 100% waard. De bedden (van beide verblijven) zijn uiterst comfortabel! Niet te hard, niet te zacht, met goede ondersteuning. Lieve medewerkers, wifi redelijk en eten heerlijk! We hebben via hen een kookcursus gedaan, waarbij we vroegen om rendang en saté te maken, deze was helemaal geslaagd en zo lekker!! Ook de jungle trekking was fantastisch, we kozen 3 dagen en onze gids Jack was de beste! Zoveel passie en enthousiasme, hij wist antwoord te geven op al onze vragen. Ze gaan verantwoord en ethisch met dier en natuur om, wat niet altijd gebeurt bij andere touroperators. Het diner tijdens de trekking is heerlijk, de lunch simpel, maar absoluut vullend. Tussendoor kregen we veel vers tropisch fruit. We hebben veel orang-oetans gezien, gibbons, andere apen, neushoornvogels en een slang. Heel gaaf!
De budget kamers, prima hoor, maar koude douche en geen AC. Ook is de kamer een stuk kleiner. Maar goed, daar is de prijs ook helemaal naar :-)

NLDeze accommodatie is in één woord fantastisch! Ze regelen alles voor je; het vervoer, de tour en ook het eten is heerlijk en niet duur. Je zit op een prachtige rustgevende locatie. De tour was geweldig, we hebben rond de 8 orang oetangs gezien en nog veel meer, terug raften is rustgevend en juist relaxed. De tourgides waren super grappig en weten super veel te vertellen over de jungle.
De kamer is warmer door ventilator ipv airco, maar dat kun je verwachten richting de jungle.
GBThis place is amazing and the staff are the nicest people we have ever met! We visited with our three year old daughter and she played with the staffs children for hours. The food was delicious also. We went jungle trekking with these guys and they are the most amazing helpful and enthusiastic people I’ve ever met! BOOK JUNGLE TREK WITH THESE GUYS !
CAEndroit parfait, confortable, propre et spacieux. La douche est bonne et l’eau est chaude. L’AC fonctionne parfaitement bien. Les alentours sont vraiment beaux. Distance de marche de buket lawang. La nourriture est super bonne et l’ambiance et parfaite en soirée.

NLHet was echt waanzinnig. De locatie is prachtig, heerlijk een rustgevend uitzicht. Maar evengoed dichtbij het centrum. Ze brengen je met de tuk tuk overal heen. Prachtige kamer, ruim opgezet en hele mooie moderne badkamer met heerlijke douche. Alles is super schoon. Ze hebben super leuke guides in dienst die hele leuke jungle tours organiseren. Ook is het eten er heerlijk, ontbijt ook en goede verse juices. Mega vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Kortom het is hier echt fantastisch!! Dikke dikke aanrader!!
INThe room was clean, it was budget-friendly so we extended for 2 more days upon arrival.
No hot water, no soap or shampoo, no wifi, water pressure in the shower & sink is really weak, dim lighting in the room, location is far from everything, no cleaning offered during our 3 night stay, but considering the price, we could have somehow looked past all of that. What ruined our stay was the attitude of the host. On the first day she was super friendly but also pushy about doing the trek with them. We checked her prices & told her we’ll let her know by evening, then we went out, looked around & found a better deal elsewhere. In the evening, she brought a guide to convince us but he seemed more like a salesman than a jungle guide, so we decided to do it with the other company. After that, the staff at Gino’s became very passive aggressive with us. I mean it’s not like we asked them for a discount or anything. We just found a better deal and took it. Just like we found a room for a good price at Gino’s & booked it. If you offer rooms for a cheap price & act extremely friendly when the guests arrive, you shouldn’t force them to do the trek with you too, & if the guest declines, you can’t act like they’ve betrayed you & then start avoiding them for the rest of their stay. It just seems very two-faced & classless. You can make it mandatory to book your rooms only if we’re trekking with you, like other accommodations in BL are doing. Just don’t put your guests in a pressurised situation & then treat them badly because they don’t do what you want them to do. It made us wish we hadn’t extended on the very first day because we heard from other travellers that there are better places for the same price or even lesser in town. Thankfully we had a great time on both our hikes in Batu Katak & BL, & some lovely stays in Berastagi & Lake Toba & the hospitality & service of those guides & hosts reminded us why we shouldn’t let 1 or 2 bad apples make us forget how lovely the Indonesian people truly are.
