Howe of Torbeg

Great location (if you have a car) for exploring Ballater, Balmoral or Royal Lochnagar Distillery. Amazing countryside experience with a river and farm animals nearby. Just down the road is access to the Moor with extensive running or walking options. Parking is about 50m from the accommodation which is down a gravel path.

The quiet location made you feel as if you were miles from anywhere. Our shepherds hut was quaint and comfortable.

A little bit of a line up in the morning for the only 2 bathrooms. Not a major problem.

Really off the grid, nice facilities, a great place to stay for a couple of nights

Bed was a bit hard

We had a lovely stay. Felt that there was a lot of attention to detail, everything was easy to use, super clean, and warm. The perfect mix of outdoors and home comforts.

Erg mooie locatie, zicht op de vallei, inclusief het geluid van een kabbelende stroom, schapen, vogels. Proper sanitair, zachte handdoeken. Leuk dat je gratis koffie, thee en chocolademelk kunt drinken Het tafeltje en het stopcontact, dat in de pod aanwezig was, is een plus ! Picnicbank bij de pod is zeer handig (als het niet regent) Verwarming in de pod was goed bruikbaar Gemeenschappelijke ruimte met erg veel info , oa wandelkaarten Zeer goede uitgangsbasis voor wandelingen in de omgeving. Op 10 minuten rijden ligt Ballater, gezellige plaats, genoeg eetmogelijkheden en 1 supermarktje.

Pod viel wat kleiner uit dan ik had gedacht, met 2 reistassen + het 2-persoonsbed staat de vloer bijna volledig vol. 2 haakjes in de pod om kledij / handdoeken aan te hangen is wat te weinig. Verduistering in de pod kon beter. Het water van de douche mocht veel warmer. Douche en toiletruimte had ik liever afzonderlijk gehad. Het had leuk geweest moest er boven de picnicbank bescherming gehangen hebben tegen de regen, zo kun je ook buiten zitten / eten als het regent
