It was one of the best places where we stayed and felt really at home and heartily welcomed. We had an awesome boat ride and after sunset great talks by the bonfire. The location is really fantastic and wish we had more time to stay.

Mukuku Rest Camp is a beautiful oasis located directly at Kavango river. Unfortunately we only stayed one night at this wonderful place. Hannes and Ansie were amazing hosts and did everything to make us feel comfortable. We would love to come back again and spend more time there :)

This has been the best place we've stayed in Namibia for its peaceful beauty and the absolutely charming hosts and wonderful food. I would give Ansie and Hannes 11 out of 10 if I could! A wonderful stay, and we were sorry to leave.

Nothing... but be aware that Google Maps can't cope with the location and tries to send you to Angola on the other side of the river 😄 Stay on the gravel road until you see a proper brown tourist road sign on the left for Mukuku and then its a couple of Km on a sandy track before you pop out in this beautiful oasis by the river.

"Beautiful Tropical Paradise with Gracious Owners"

We thoroughly enjoyed the lush botanical property on the shore of the Cubango River. we had a small, very private cabin with a counter outside on the deck and comfortable chairs to relax on. The owners, Hanna’s and Ansie are friendly and knowledgeable and have some wonderful stories about their 16 years owning the property to share. Hannes has just completed a beautiful teakwood deck overlooking the river and we spent hours there watching the bird life. We were disappointed that the river was too low to go for a boat ride (we were there in October at the end of the dry season). Because it is a bit of a drive to local restaurants, Ansie will fix a homemade dinner upon request. The included breakfast was a feast as well. Their property is a tropical paradise! It can be a bit noisy at night if the Guinea Fowl start to vocalize; otherwise a quiet and peaceful stay.

"Wonderful rest camp"

Very relaxed and homely

Very friendly hosts, who do a lot for the community. The chalets and camping sites are under shade.
