Mukuku Rest Camp is a fabulous spot to stay in this area. Ansie and Hannes were very welcoming hosts, super friendly and helpful with regional information (the afternoon boat cruise was quite informative). The gardens are lovely, as are all the common areas. Our group loved the welded art pieces throughout the camp. Accommodation was spotless and comfortable. Dinner was hearty and delicious. An extra day to simply relax here would have been ideal!

"One of our favourite stops in Namibia."

What a fantastic, unique and authentic place to stay in this part of Namibia. I wish we could have stayed another night or two. The hosts Hannes and Ansi are wonderful people, the surroundings are stunning, the rooms are comfortable and rustic, very clean and well equipped. We loved sitting on the deck on the river watching the bird life and just relaxing while watching the sunset and sunrise. We also loved chatting to Hannes about different things. Great bar and breakfast as well and a beautiful garden.

"Exceptional"

Without doubt the key to Mukuku is the hosts' warm welcome and love of their home. Hannes and Ansie looked after us very well, with Ansie producing a lovely evening meal. Hannes has a wealth of local information and is a very charming and knowledgeable person. An evening boat trip is not to be missed. In short, it felt like a home from home.
