Suitehuts @ Silverstone

The property was a short walk from the Silverstone entrance, which was useful after a long day at the track and early mornings.

We arrived first of all to be brought to our hut, which was a lot smaller than expected. We payed just over £1300 for a booking, for two adults to be squeezed into a small areas with just enough room for a double bed. The hut itself was also not in the best condition. The floor was dirty on arrival, and there were gaps in the flooring and the walls and also with the tarpaulin that covered the roof; the door also didn’t shut properly, and had fairly big gaps on the side. The lock was also fitted incorrectly from the looks of things. The ‘mattresses’ for our double bed were two single mattresses, which were hard and uncomfortable, and something you would find on an outdoor furniture set for your garden sofa. All of this could have been manageable, however we found some of the staff to be quite rude. Half of them looked like they did not want to be there, which put us off asking for help and purchasing food and beverages, and we had two extremely rude members of staff speak to us at the bar. Silverstone is not a cheap experience, we understand this, however for the amount of money we paid for this venue we expected a lot more. A two man tent would have probably been cheaper, and a lot more comfortable. We expected this to enhance our experience, as we were excited for a more stable sleeping location than a tent, however during the Saturday night rain and wind, the hut creaked, and moved with the wind, which was not comforting at all, and we did not sleep much. With the draft coming in through the gaps in the doors, I’m surprised neither of us caught a cold. Overall, for spending over a £1300 on a booking, we expected a lot more for our money. We did not feel comfortable, secure, or happy with our stay, and felt it damped our Silverstone experience. We would appreciate if we could be contacted about our stay and the issues that we have brought up in this review.

The location was good, the place overall was okay the tent was good the bed was comfy and clean and slept really well on the Friday night. The staff was friendly and welcoming

The toilets was a little dirty and the water didn't always work in them, we were quite near the outside bar area which is fine and expect some noise, and on the Friday night it was all quiet for around 2pm But on the Saturday night the crowed kept shouting one more song and they played one more song for over an hour until gone 3am we didn't get much sleep the night before race day on the Sunday!

Overall, the hut experience was great and exceeded our expectations.

We had a hard time locating the hut while carrying our luggage because we could not go through the race complex and had to walk around it. That was challenging. The first night we were very cold and couldn't sleep. Suite Huts gave us more blankets on request so we were comfortable thereafter.

Close to the circuit (Silverstone). En suite bathroom. Kettle, fridge, tea, coffee etc. Fan. Towels. Better than a tent. Parking very close. Friendly helpful staff.

Sloping floor so sloping bed. Wind whistling in the gaps around the door so breezy whilst in bed at night. Very noisy on the Saturday night (party in the main tent nearby). Both lights (main area and bathroom) stopped working on the first night so we had to use our phone torches as it was pitch dark but both were fixed the next day when we reported it.

Very well lead out and close to the race track

Toilet blocks kept blocking and got into an unacceptable state

Literally a short walk to Copse gate. Saves the hassle of driving to & from circuit. You just park your car up on the Thursday & don’t need to move again until Monday.
