"It was just what I required - a one night stay in the middle of a two-day walk."

Breakfast was not provided (which was as advertised) but a few snacks were provided in the room. Croissant, flapjack &c. Tea and coffee making also there. The pub adjoining, Dock and Duck, provides evening meals and I had a very good one on the day I arrived. An excellent steak and ale pie with plenty of vegetables. Checking in and out was straightforward, using an online system and key-safe boxes in a telephone box.

Hardly anything - traffic from the nearby road gave occasional noise but that subsided later on.
