What an amazing place and staffs were always smiling, attending and very detailed oriented.foods and services are above the standard .Rooms were very clean with luxury looks. Waterfall visit was fantastic. Staff is the key to success in this property. We will come again. Highly recommend for the peaceful vacations. Keep it up you're good work

It was a journey beyond a century to feel and experience the atmosphere of a Tea factory premises. At this vintage site they had made it possible for us to feel that it was much more than what it was meant to be over a century ago thus converting it to an abode with cozy beds and a restaurant where we could flavour the in-house cuisine and enjoy freshly brewed tea or cocktails from a rustic bar, while giving the patrons a chance to indulge in the manufacture of tea from plucking the fresh leaves to processing, tea tasting and to the point of packing the finished black tea. Our stay was very comfortable in a spacious cabin with important amenities provided to us. At the arrival we were greeted with a traditional “Arti” style welcome with lighted oil lamps followed by placing Thilaka or Bindi or Pottu on the forehead with blessings, followed by the serving of the welcome drink which was a warm cup of Cinnamon infused tea. They cared us with a high level of attention which made us feel that they wanted our visit to be memorable. Their hospitality was greatly appreciated, their staff was extraordinarily nice. We had a choice with their dinner and breakfast menus, bar had a few cocktails one special with Sri Lankan arrack and their Kabaragala tea. Room was warm and comfortable for the cooler night. We found it to be very central to numerous waterfalls and lookout points. They had a guided trek to Kabaragala Ella falls listed in their days programme. As we were interested in seeing all the attractions in Mandaram Nuwara precinct in a relatively short duration they assisted us to obtain a 4WD vehicle from an external service provider to travel to these locations.

Staying at this hotel is a disaster, as the rooms are not soundproof. You have to endure all the bathroom noises, continuous coughing, snoring, humming of songs, and YouTube videos from guests in the next room. You cannot sleep peacefully if other guests are playing games outside at night. It is truly a disaster. The hotel management should clearly inform guests before booking that the rooms are not soundproof. People travel around five hours from Colombo to reach this place, only to be forced to listen to the unpleasant noises of other guests, with no privacy whatsoever. Please soundproof the rooms properly before continuing operations. Sitting in the middle of the Pettah train station is far more peaceful than staying in one of these hotel rooms.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Tea and Experience. We travelled here from Kandy with a driver organised by this hotel. A good way to get here, as the driver was local to Mandaramuwara and knew the narrow winding roads well. The public holiday meant that roads were busy and so narrow that there were a few traffic jams on the way! The staff at the hotel are attentive and hard working. The tea factory tour and tea plucking was interesting and included in room cost. Buffet meals had a nice variety of local and western food. Thank you! We recommend.

The staff was great and the food was delicious the front desk was helpful and look plesent.the rooms were clean and great the tea shop is cheap.the tea factory was clean and sanitary and they explained the process clearly and was very easy to understand must recommend!

It was the best place in our this holiday .We never forget the warm welcome and unforgettable hospitality of the all staff .We were get nice and clean rooms with the great views .Sri Lankan foods and the buffet also so delicious. The hotel offered d us so many activities and we can recommended to all visitors to Sri Lanka it is the best hotel in Mandaramnuwara. We would like to thanks again to all staff because they are the one who make our holiday unforgettable one.
